Default Identifying Missing Part

2015 Z. I broke part of my splitter at Road Atlanta, and while reattaching it I noticed another part missing behind it. It’s a plastic piece that broke off, but I can’t tell if it was part of an undertray or something else.

I replaced the stage 1 splitter with stage 2 myself, and there was no undertray with that. So two questions

1. What is missing?
2. Do I need to replace it with the same part or something different now that I have the stage 2 splitter?

I think I know what you need. I’ll take a pic of it when I get back home and you can lmk if that’s the part. If so I’ll get you the part number. I know bc I removed the front bumper and dust cover off my Z and accidentally washed that part lmfao.

I believe this is what you are talking about. Should be one on each side right and left

Thanks but the hole spacing and shape doesn’t look quite right. There are six screws total, but they are lined up pretty straight. Just measured and spacing is about 5-6 inches between each hole. Hard to tell exactly because there is room for adjustment

Is that what it measures for that part? I don’t have anything currently in the car that resembles that except the rubber pieces on the very edge under the bumper that attach to the fender extensions Thanks again

ahhh I gotcha now. The bumper is in the garage, I’m going to look at it again and see. You might be looking at part of the dust cover. I think I have it on the bumper or car still. Bumper is off bc I’m replacing the headlight harness

The stage 2 and 3 splitter eliminate the center air dam. Do not run the center air dam as it's only installed on a stage 1 car. The side dams are needed as they deflect air from the tires for aero purposes.

So that piece was the center air dam? It must have removed itself probably before I even owned the car. Does the stage 2 undertray bolt on instead?

stage 2 undertray would be there but it doesn't eliminate the dam bolt holes so you could technically run the air dam + undertray (small improvement in gas mileage with the full air dam, but works against the splitter for downforce)
