New zo6 owner
Just purchased my first vette. A 2016 zo6 convertible, 3LZ with the zo7 package. 24k miles one owner.
looking for tips, tricks, things to look out for etc. the car is far far beyond anything I’ve owned before. My last “fast” car was a Lt1 f body.
plan on leaving it stock for a long while though that’s usually always the plan that changes quickly.
thanks for any advice.

LT1 F-Body. Those were the days. As you probably already figured out …. This is far and away a completely different experience.
Advice: keep it stock for a while. Get used to the power ( it’s plenty for now). Like most of us you will start going down the rabbit hole of mods … but hold off as long as you can
Tips:
- Experiment with the different modes, tour , sport, track.
- you may find that you like the steering in sport & the suspension of tour & the exhaust note of track. All of these can be set to your liking. You don’t need to settle for the selected parameters of each mode automatically. As an example: My ZO7 stays in Sport steering, Track exhaust & I drive around town in Tour.
- you may want to look into the suspension update. For approximately $350 you can get this update which incorporates new technology from the 2019 Z into the program. Bottom line: you will have upgraded Track & Sport suspension however, the big take away is a noticeable softer ride in Tour mode. Which for our ZO7 is a major plus when driving around town.
- protect that front splitter. Use the camera !!!
Welcome to the forum ! Here are a few things that may change in your life as they did for me:
you may:
- walk into the garage at least three times an evening just to look at it
- drive with the radio off & windows open just to hear it
- look for any opportunity to down shift just to get that exhaust to bark with rev match on
- have conversation with perfect strangers at the gas station ( every time )
- wake up excited for the drive to work
- Give Thanks to the Universe for bringing this forward !

Congrats! You'll have a lot of fun with these cars. I still have my LTx Fbody and while I love it and it makes more power, car def feels like a dinosaur compared to my former C7Z.

she made it home today! Waiting on registration plates. I cleaned the garage in preparation and found evidence of rodents and saw something scurry away.
ive placed traps, tried to block where I saw it exit put 2 bait boxes outside and a ton of scented pebbles to keep them away. Little hesitant to put into n the garage but it’ll be moved frequently. Not sure what to do

I actually started searching for it to buy back and do a build on before finding this. I miss it.

Congrats!
I also have a 2016 Z06/Z07 which I bought in November, car is just a blast to drive but be VERY careful when temps drop and the roads gets colder. Doesn't have to be even close to freezing temps for this car to feel like you are driving on ice..
