I put a post on an old thread in General Discussion but did not get any responses. So I hope for some help in here. My 2016 Z06 with 15k miles, brand new Michelin AS4's. I have done the triple flush 2x's myself, and the dealer did it once with a TCM reset. I am noticing shudder again. I have bought a new, updated torque converter and will be changing it soon. When back on the road do I need to do a TCM relearn which will require a visit to dealership? Can it be driven after the swap or will it have issues?

I’ve changed out multiple converters and the only time I’ve had to relearn was when I had the tranny rebuilt.
Thanks Lucky. How many quarts of trans fluid will I need with a torque converter swap?
can’t remember as I always change filter and fluid everytime. I buy the HP LV by the case and have the larger LG pan. By experience when installing I put a quart in converter and the fill pan till it comes out of weep hole. Plug the weep hole and add one more quart. Start up and warm up to temp and you’ll end up adding less than a quart when checking.
Well.... my TC swap story. I watched videos of removing the rear lower fascia. I still managed to break both side rear grills. They are stupid hard to remove for me. I then messed up my shift linkage adjustment and broke the clip that you remove for adjusting. Other than that no left over hardware. Tranny properly filled, differential properly filled, crank thrust properly adjusted. Waiting for my new vents to come and a replacement shifter cable so I can replace just the cable end.
When trying to remove the shifter cable to pull the drive side exhaust I broke the clip that sets the shifter adjustment. I was able to do it all myself from the floor but it sucked To me the worse part was removing all the wiring cable connectors and the mess that was made from disconnecting the hydraulic lines. Two days to remove one day to put back in. Them electrical connectors are terrible.
