I waited four months on headers from ARH.... Ended up canceling the order.
What is the deal with nobody being able to get headers for this car???
Some places show in-stock, then you call, and they have nothing.
I have read several threads after searching on here, and I understand other people have had the same issue.
I realize they are custom built.
ARH keeps saying they don't have any material, and call back next week lol
With this car being so popular, what is the deal?

I believe they always had an 8-12 week lead time. At some point in the last year they moved from New York to North Carolina. Orders kept pouring in during this relocation so they got way behind. I ordered my set the last week of February and got them the first week of July. Went through @Randy@RaginRacin and couldn’t be happier. Best price and the delivery date he predicted was almost dead on. If you need headers for a project asap it won’t work but I had no time deadline so the wait didn’t matter.
in the end I’m thrilled because they fit perfect. I had a couple questions during install but it was easy for the most part. Possibly the best fitting exhaust system I’ve ever installed.
*edit to add - they build headers in batches. Not sure how many sets per platform but they rotate so they are not equipped to build to orders as they come in.
American Racing is getting better. I have had several sets ship these past few weeks. Wait time on current orders from what I see is still 12 weeks or so which is much better than 20. If you wanting a winter project now would be the time to order.
Headers aren't as popular a mod on modern cars. I waited three months for my Kooks headers on my C5 but I also had them coated. I think the header industry at this point is pretty much made to order with limited pre-made stock, if any.
Wha, wha, wha, what are you guys crying about ? You all must be rich folks, with nothing to do but spend your trust fund money on AR / Kooks or Stainless Headers. I'm sorry, but this is the worst investment / scam / corvette tax you will ever make in your lifetime. If you have money to burn, go for it, more power to you. Do you realize that you will be paying roughly a $100 per HP gain?? In my book that is a horrible investment, just saying.

It's 3k if you want the green cats, plus $800 more for installation, do your homework. Again, its > $100 per HP gain, the ROI is horrible. I have some land for sale in New Orleans if you're interested?
Why not save up for a Cam / DOD delete, ported heads + tune, or go for a smaller upper / larger lower pulley, + plus fueling & tune ?

I have headers in my car. I didnt want green cats. They were $2k for arh…..the best headers in the market. Install didn’t cost me anything other than some evenings in the garage. How’s that for homework?
save up for a cam and heads? That’s close to $10k. What does your homework say that works out to for hp and roi?
upper and lower pulley. You forgot to mention how you’re going to keep it cool. Or is a single pull on the dunk how we measure roi?

Almost nobody is only buying headers. Headers are only one element of a much more involved, complex package. The overall package involves a lot more total cost that the $2000 - 3000 cost of the headers. Regardless, who cares how much somebody else spends on their car? Some pour more than $100,000 into their builds, then eventually sell the car for a fraction of their cost and start over doing another expensive build, knowing they will never recoup all of their money. They do it because they love and enjoy the project and its challenges, and their pursuit of perfection leads high cost. They are fine with that. For them, it's the joy of the project, and if they lose money, they view it as the cost of the joy of creating a wonderful, high horsepower, mechanical marvel. Nothing illegal or immoral about that!
