Hello All,
About 2 weeks ago my car started bogging down and then revving back up every time I accelerate from a stop (this will happen usually 5-10 times) once the car has warmed up. I can see the boost gauge jumping up and down. The car will barely accelerate no matter how far I press down the pedal then will take off randomly like nothing ever happened. Just to do it again at the next stop. I have noticed it will do some bogging on the highway with light throttle. It has not thrown a check engine light. The car currently has an aftermarket exhaust and cold air intake done. Has anyone else experienced this or know what the culprit is.

I can see the boost gauge jumping up and down as well as the rpms. The car will barely accelerate no matter how far I press down the pedal then will take off randomly like nothing ever happened. Just to do it again at the next stop. I have noticed it will do some bogging on the highway with light throttle. It has not thrown a check engine light. There are some DTC’s that will set that may be associated with your concern that will not set a check engine light…get the car scanned !!…issues affecting exhaust emissions will illuminate the MIL.
I'll vote for something going on with the CAI/throttle body. IMHO, sounds like air not being measured properly on the intake side. Just making stuff up, it will be interesting to hear what the deal is.
Turns out that my intercooler reservoir was half full of air. Causing my manifold temperatures to be 190 at idle then 220 with any kind of acceleration. This caused my car to pull 4 degrees of timing.
