Default dsc controller help

ok I picked up a used dsc controller. as we all know they are very reluctant to support their product in any way when its bought used. new they are fine but used they rarely touch. so im reaching out here for some guidance

1. what type of cable end is this?
2. I have the dsc software downloaded can some one who is well versed in this tell me how I find out what type of file is on the controller?
3. is there a software download that has the original dsc software they load onto each controller specific to the car that I can use to set my car back to this since I have no idea how the previous owner set it up. could be the original software for a modified version. I have no idea
4. is the software model specific? ie: stingray grand sport z06 and zr1? no idea what car it came off of

ideally I would like to set the car up with the file dsc uses when they ship the controller see how I like then go from there

@9sec,

Looks like you have a V4 version.

1. Cable (needs to be a 5 wire data cable)
Amazon Amazon

2. I went through the software and could not find anything that will show what file I have installed. Due to that, I have kept a spreadsheet of what file I have installed and any changes.

3. Most likely, but DSC Sport controlled.

4. I've seen files named for Z51 and ZR1, but IIRC they were specific to V3 controllers. There was also a file for the DSC Sport Tractive option.

NOTES:
Set "File" / "Vehicle Type" as Corvette C7.
You can read or write individual tables for each mode when in each tab of the software.
You can read or write the entire file if using the "Tools" pull down menu.
IIRC, you need to "Tools" / "Reset Board" after any changes are completed.
Be sure to set Zero Travel (ride height) when your C7 is on a level surface.

DSC Sport recommended alignment

I've ended up using the ZR1_FE7_Mag_shockcal_Gtable_3_6_02-12-2020.zip file since I have FE7 suspension.

Original settings to check if your file has been changed.
Settings in red font are different from the previous suspension mode.

Did you type all that in or find a way to export the info? Just curious since that's a lot of numbers!

To the OP....I'd download what's in the controller now and save that as your base file. Then, "Zero" the ride height and go for a drive. Based on that drive or several drives you can decide what you want to change.

Didn't find a way to export that would save any time. Some typed in with a lot of copy and paste. Then compared with 2 ZR1 files and 3 files from forum members that were posted in the thread that I mentioned above.
