Default Nitto

I had the 555R2s on my last car and they made me a believer. Question is this, would the 315/35/20 in the rear work with either the 285/35/19 or 295/35/19 fronts? or will this throw some kind of code on these cars?

That's a pretty tall tire and could possibly rub. I run a Nitto 555R2 345-30-19 on my rear which is 27.1" tall and is fine with the stock fronts

Well, I ended up going with PS4S, 295/30/19 front and 325/25/20 rear and to my surprise, crack in my left rear rim. imagine that. So instead of being mad about it, I just went ahead and dropped down to a 19 on some factory reps and put 345/30/19 555r2 in the rear. It impressed me in a 315 on my camaro and 345 is even more impressive. Tires feel great driving around - no noise and just flat out sticks. perfect stance now IMO:

If you track it, the taller tire will most definitely rub pretty bad...

99% straight line stuff for me, occasional back roads/corners. A few different guys have run these on big power cars with great success on street/at strip w/ no rubbing. I can see how maybe trying to pull 1.5g may rub slightly.

What tire pressure do you run? I just put the 555r2s on mine with the G2s up front. Haven't gotten a chance to see if they really hook or not yet, but man they are so much quieter than the Toyo 888s.

I just run the Atturo AZ 850's on the fronts with the Nitto 555R2 rears. The tires are cheap and work very well. I have another set of wheels with Continental Extreme Sports all the way around.

I am not saying this in a smart a$$ way but it will come off that way, did you know that Nitto made the G2 tire for up front to pair with the R2 in the back?

I have the Nitto G2's on the front of my Trans Am. Long story short, I had a set of Reproduction Chrome 19x12's for the Nitto rears and I ran those with the factory Chrome front wheels with the Continentals up front. I was bored and wanted to change things a little so I bought a set of Reproduction 19x10's for the front and I powder coated tinted smoke clear because I own a powder coat shop and wanted to try a different look. I just wanted a decent pair of cheap tires for them so I bought the Atturo AZ850's. $205 for two tires shipped to my door. They actually handle very well and wear great. No complaints with them. So yes I know that they made the Nittos but wasn't looking to spend $600 on another pair of tires.

Gotcha, the R2s and G2s are new to me, and I wasn't sure when the G2s were released so I figured I would ask.

I would go crazy coating stuff if I owned a coating shop lol

At least you're making money doing it...I have a friend who does it for a living and owns his own shop, he's doing really well for himself.
