E

what's that thing that's highlighted do? Changing air filter out, thing broke off. Can I cap it and move on? Looks like a breather valve to help coolant flow better?

Try and post a real picture of what you are looking at if possible.

Nevermind, I figured it out. It's thermostat housing bypass nipple. Apparently most halltech intake owners broke this one time or another. What a cheap piece of crap. Fragile plastic nipple. Now I habe to replace the thermostat housing. Ugh...

I am glad you figured it out.

Good luck with it.

Yeh, I ordered these yesterday. I like the angled approach VS the grantelli or others. Plus it's slightly cheaper ($250 shipped w/ thermostat VS $270 for grantelli which is copy of the oem design) and I get to pick the thermostat temp with dedicated racing - 174 degrees.

The halltech intake has its maf sensor sticking out towards the thermostat housing, so I think it'll work out better with the angled approach for the thermostat housing. Plus billet so it won't break again next time I change my intake filter.

I called the Chevy dealership near me and they wanted $200 for the ac Delco oem version. I said to the guy, I can buy a billet one for that money and he said, yeh, I know. It's f'ed up. Read reviews on motorad, and apparently it dies within 6 months ($50 Chinese copy).

I ordered some silicone hoses to replace coolant bypass hoses (it's about time). I'm planning on getting the cordes expansion tank and CSF radiator. Doing research on CSF VS Dewitt now. Im not going for super hp with supercharger and don't want 2650 at 20 psi and fuel upgrade, etc. For this car. No meth, no E85, no nitrous. I just want it to run cooler. It's enough hp for me. This car is my mountain car. Will likely buy a supra or gtr and go insane on it.

I promised myself I won't mod this car but here I am looking at procharger.

I went into the garage to put a missing bolt in the spoiler, then next thing you know, without my control, everything is taken off the car, and ***** breaking and I'm out of $400 for now. And I have bunch of **** in the checkout basket, like MPI supercharger cover, 2.3 upper pulley, and others I mentioned before, while looking at LMP cam/head/tune package... Ugh...

Apparently dedicated motorsports don't ship on Saturday so it's coming in on Wednesday on priority mail for $12 from Texas to Virginia. I'm leaving for vacay Tuesday. So I have to plug a trickle charge on the car until I come home, then install it the day after I get home and put the rest of the car together.

This is how it starts instead of driving it how it is.

Thanks though
