Incredible--impressed. It looks like they addressed all of the shortcomings of the Z06 (but one) and made a real track monster fitted with the right tires, brakes, coolers, etc. The one they missed? The 8-speed automatic. I suppose it is more execution than concept--let's hope the 8 speed is now fully trackworthy and durable, with no bugs. I would still go for the M7 myself.
I cannot afford it, however. And that brings me to my second point: GM should make very few of these and in no event produce so many that the ZR-1 gathers dust in showrooms. It deserves better. Make it great, but make it dear. We do not need to see these on every street corner.
Just for fun: Chevy, let's see that 'Ring time, this time.

Fairly impressed, won't buy (can't afford) new. Maybe used someday.

Car looks impressive. Time will tell about performance.
If GM wants the ZR1 to be successful, the price has to be affordable to many. Base $100 to $110 with a lot of options standard.

16 Vettes and counting…..
The big wing doesn’t lower. It tilts five degrees. The wing in the photo is only one section tall and has different ends. Not the same wing at all.

Love the new ZR1, even if it is a little down on power/torque to my Callaway Z06.
Hopefully at least one of the variants of the forthcoming ME will be a hi-po azz kicker as well.

Like the car but where does the value go when the Mid engine comes out so soon, then we are back to old technology, MidEngine ,new trans , better shifts, good power, AWD, Less power and AWD gets me to the light a lot quicker, Plus even better weight distribution, what price drop occurs at that time? Love the ZR1 but just not willing to jump for it now, too close to C8.

I'm impressed, but won't buy. I have a 16 Z06 M7 and on the street it scares the hell out of me. Its power at 650HP is just to much for normal everyday street driving. I come to a light and there is nobody in front of me, I always get the urge to whined it up like close to the red line and before you know it I am going way to fast. I look in the rear view mirror and there is no one in sight. With 100 more HP I just might not be able to keep my drivers licence for very long.
