Didn't get an invite; guess previous ZR1 ownership and 8 new Corvettes purchased didn't put me on the list......
O well tomorrow I'll be there on media day.

Do not feel bad I am in my 74th New Corvette and No Invite-- guess Dealers and Press only but I would not bet on that either ...
I am sure there will be a lot of leaks MOST of which will be Old News...
Hoping the Convertible makes an appearance because that's where I am leaning...
The problem with the ZR1 Convertible is the Ability to Track it-- difficult at best and I think that is going to effect Sales and Resales of the ZR1 Convertible Dramatically.... (After the very initial surge)....H

The invite went out to a wide array of folks, but considering 35 invites for all the Corvette owners in America, chances were slim for almost all.

Hope they announce a price!

I heard you had to own at least 75 previously before the invite....But seriously, 74th? That's pretty crazy lol. I'm kind of curious why, you buy 2-3 per year of the same model but different colors or trim?

Not hard to get to 74 if you start in 1965 ... Had every year but 2 in the 90s since 84....
Never had more then 2 in any one Year - and there were many of those...
By the way have never had Yellow- First was Satin Silver in 65- paid $4200 and my father wanted me committed ... it had every option except the largest engine which if I remember correctly had 365 HP
FIRST Year for disc Brakes and A/C..H

Very cool man! I like to keep vehicles a long time, I just can't take the big depreciation like that lol. I've actually never sold a car, my brother totaled one and I gave one to my parents but I do probably need to sell my 80 Vette as I hardly ever drive it.

A/C was first offered in 1963. 300 HP 327 was the largest engine you could order with the A/C in 1963 through 1965.
1965 was the first year disc brakes were offered, but you could order drum brakes as an option in 1965.

Enjoy the Evening- do not feel Guilty.......H
I stand corrected I did have the 300 Hp engine but was and am unaware that AC WAS available as an option in 63/64 ..
i know the drum brakes were an option... Do remember the A/C did not work well and the Disc Brakes squeaked like crazy
in 66 both those items were fixed and my convertible had head rests which was a first.
