Default Watch Flames Shoot Out of ZR1 Exhaust (Video)

I discovered Chevrolet's video today and passed it along to the Corvette Blogger. Check out his blog on it, which includes a downloadable ringtone that is a sound clip of the ZR1 exhaust.

Oh my god....

isnt that going to burn the bumper off eventually causing black stains?

how do you turn it on/off or does it always happen?

Uh? It was a serious question.... The culture around here with the hostility needs to change.

That's a fair question. I suspect it's only something that happens at WOT, which in a 750HP car is going to be a rare thing. Even at the race track, you're rarely going to go WOT for a very long time unless it's a big straight.

Maybe the aftermarket can catch some of that and redirect it for a proper seat heater.

Wellllll your post history would indicate otherwise. Do you seriously think THE General would release it to burn bumpers

You'll be all right. The bumper would have to be much closer to the exhaust than that to ignite/melt/scorch.

The president of my Corvette club looked at the black exhaust tips on my Z06 and asked "did you get those powdercoated?" I about fell over laughing. No, I just drive it properly!
