Default Maybe too loud

The splash page for the ZR1 has a decibel meter measuring the exhaust sound. It easily went to 102 dB and beyond. It is definitely going to be a problem tracking at Laguna, maybe Sonoma and maybe Thunderhill, the 3 local Bay Area tracks. The early car reviews also mentioned that the car is loud.

Tadge confirmed that since the ZR1 will not need to meet Europe’s more stringent noise standards since it is not going to be sold there, that the ZR1 is the loudest Corvette yet.

In a C7 Z06, are you able to customize the different components of the drive modes individually? For instance, can you run in track mode with the exhaust baffles closed? That might give us what we need for tracks with low DB limits. I'll have a similar issue here in CT at Lime Rock.

I hope Akrapovic makes an exhaust for it, the noise my Z06 makes is intense.

More important question to me is can you run in Touring Mode with the baffles open like you can on a stingray?? Louder the better!

Top speed free flow!?, but, 4 modes!
The car will also have a new exhaust note and four driving modes and “sound levels.” In stealth mode, Chevy said, the ZR1 is quieter than other Corvettes, while in track mode “it is significantly louder.”

Good thing the NCM MSP sound limit is 103db at 50ft.

It's a problem if the track sends you packing. Just like it's a problem if you can't find tires. This may be the first car in my memory where the aftermarket supplies a quieter exhaust for performance enthusiasts.
