Straight line speed helps in a road course, and it provides greater comparability because the driver skill factor is minimized. Unless it's a pro driving or official manufacturer lap time or magazine hot lap comparison test, I find straight line stats more interesting for even track cars.

In The Mile? That is not possible, a stock C6ZR1 will be 178 to mid to upper 180’s in the Mile, depending on conditions of the run.

Most are. The one I am referring to has put out numbers that just can't be backed up at the track or mexico racing. They charge to retune cars that were done in nearby cities and always get 20-30 more HP, but, rarely run any better at SAR (1/4 mile track) or vs cars they have run before in mexico..... With that much more on a Mustang dyno vs a dynojet, the increase would be (should be??) obvious.

Fast list shows fastest stock ZR1 to be 184 with a few others in the low 180s. Could one run upper 180s? Maybe with perfect conditions and a great driver.

I could have sworn one of our Forum members ran a 186 at the 2015 Texas Mile, we had a strong tailwind that day, I could be wrong, maybe it was a 184? Nevertheless I was responding to the 201mph stock ZR1 post; not possible.

Must have had some messed up timing because I'm not sure you'd hit that in the magnum 1.5 without a tailwind.

A lot of times people don't post any wind aids. The 201 in the C6 ZR1 is certainly possible with favorable winds or possibly with light winds at Mojave in the 1 1/2 mile.

There is no question that part of this thread threw out numbers that must have been for the Magnum rather than a 1-mile event, but didn't state that, creating confusion or at least disbelief.
