Because corvette! I can’t afford one so I’ll look at him beat his up. Seriously they are other youtubers out there making much more than him but his popularity has been growing some. His cars are what’s making the money.

YouTuber make money off of monetizing their videos. Meaning, Google is paying them a percentage of the revenue that the ads make that are in their videos, or before them, or on the side of the page, or that pop up on the bottom, etc. It's not subscriber based, it's VIEW based. I think the rough number is $3400 per million views, so about $350 for 100,000. Mike once said he gets about $2000-$2500 per video, and he makes 5-7 videos a week. You can do that math, but it's good money.

Subscribers are just a way to get more people to see your video. So the more subscribers, the more people see your video, the more people see your video the more views you get, the more views you get the more money you make.

Channels with 10s of millions of subscribers get north of $10-$20 MILLION dollars a year. Some really big YouTube stars are smart and have started merchandise and other paid add ons and are getting as much as $50 million bucks a year, like Jake Paul and others I've read of. It's a crazy world we live in. It's all based on ads.

Let's not even mention that Google probably only pays the creators 5% or something of the ad revenue. Imagine how much Youtube/Google/Oracle make off of that alone.

It's also worth noting that subscribers do matter in that you need at least 1000 subscribers now before you can monetize your videos. I'd like to get up to 1000 subscribers some day but for me it will always be something I do to share how awesome this car is and to teach others rather than trying to make a living by creating click-bait.

Well, thank you for the link.
It was a pleasure to watch your video, “Chasing Randy Pobst”.
Nice driving!

With a driver mod for the launch it will definitely be a 10 second car. But I’d expect most owners with M7 cars to land in the 11.2-11.5 range for most passes as Mikes were average or slightly above average for stick passes. If you possess the skill to slip the clutch properly and get it to scream out of the hole, the C7 ZR1 in manual form is in the 10s. Autos should be 10s with ease, pass after pass.

Good reply!

New video. I’d like to see it run with a proper drag radial and better launch. Should see better results at the callout since they’ll be able to run more than a few times.

You need to drive the M7 to understand it's totally different game than the A8 which gets 10's easy not so with the M7!
Needs more than that needs a tire. Something to get the 60ft down. Still should be faster.

I'd be more than happy to take yours for a quarter mile spin or 3.

Yeah it's called Russian roulette with your clutch. Especially a stock one lol.

wonder how the cars launch control would work? Never used one with a manual? On the A8 at the track it's slower becaise of the prep. On the street you can't touch it feathering throttle. Amaz8jg tech.

Are we sure that's not a Z06 with a ZR1 body kit?

In any event, the times will improve and it was fun seeing the ZR1 go down the track. It also shows what a few hundred extra rwhp looks like too.
I agree. Everyone's a pro!
Plus the guy was on street tires in a manual. Props for running it and enjoying the car.

To think you will run 10.9's bone stock and 10.1 bone stock on drag radials in a manual c7ZR1 is wishful thinking for most owners.
