No, they are not. The ZR1 is a world class supercar! The Demon is a Dodge!

Very Nice! Any more details on any other passes? Guessing the day warmed up and it slowed down some.

My dodge beats my vette, probably won't beat my ZR1, dodge has freak hp, but heavy as a tank

Just wait until it gets some more break in. This was the first pass and it was in not so great weather. Chevrolet built a 9 sec showroom car if you order the right options. This car is bad no doubt single digits will be among us very soon.

Great job and nice pass.
The car will most definitely run 9's on DR's in great air.

Great news, especially on a day with not-so-great report out of the Nurburgring.

If the 7:12ish time is true, that can't be taken as anything other than a failure with all the talk about the intent of the car was to be able to post a Sub 7 minute time.

That Ring "time" is going to end up looking like the first C7 ZR1 drag times that were posted on this board when a real effort times is posted.

I agree. It's still frustrating though. The ZR1 didn't seem to be pushing hard in the couple of video clips I saw; I am keeping fingers crossed for ultimately sub 7.

Neither of you have any idea of what type of lap that was, during what point in testing. Just a random guy with stopwatch waiting for cars to go by on the track. They have no clue what might've happened on the other 12.5 miles they couldn't see.

Take that time with an extreme grain of salt given what the ZR1 has officially done at VIR and Road Atlanta ie blow the Z06 Z07 out of the water. If the it's 2+ seconds faster than the Z07 at VIR, common sense would put it much more than 2 seconds faster at the Ring.

Regardless, this drag time is smoking and I'll enjoy seeing a bone stock example running 9s during the cool fall weather or maybe sooner.

Like I said in my other post, the ZR1 didn't seem to be pushing hard in the video clips that were posted. I am waiting for Oliver Gavin's time at the Ring, soon.

1.5ish 60ft is insane! Plus the DA was perfect.. I think its as good as it gets. Unless you can hit a 1.3 60 with a better tire..
