This run is very close to what we've seen from Dodge Demons in +500 DA with very similar trap speed. I've seen a couple Demons run 9.9x-10.1x at 136 mph in similar conditions. I wonder if the ZR1 will get close to 140 mph in Mine shaft air?

Great Run!

What size rear drag radial?

Nice to see 135 MPH... and I believe with the Auto... we'll see 1.50 60' or better!

Best Regards,
Dave

Actually a 1.57 60' time is not particularly insane for a drag radial. This same driver has pulled a 1.48 60ft with a drag radial in his stock C7 Z06 A8. Stock A8 Z06s on stock tires have pulled low 1.6x 60' times. There is more to be had with even better DA and improved 60' which he has proven he can do. A high 1.3 60' time (probably not going to happen on a stock stall) could have resulted in something like a 9.7 et.

Not trying to be bad news! BUT Compared to the OP's Z06 stock with tire run on the fast list!
This car is not much faster even slower trap speed! https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...fast-list.html

Nice! Looked easy. No apparent traction issues whatsoever.
It seemed like it could take a harder launch. Did you try that at all?

You are a killjoy and have a habit of killing someone else's joy...That was his first run just letting the world know about possibilities, not his best run after seat time...Lighten up.

It's never a good comparison when looking at "hero" runs in minus DA.....but if you insist on comparing, let's assume he matches his 1.48 60' time from the hero run with the Z06.....his 10.12 turns into a 9.98 in +450 DA....now that is BEYOND impressive

That run was done in negative da, skinnies on the front, full .1 60' time better, and not his first time ever taking the car down the track. Similar conditions, setup, and launch the ZR1 is running 9.8s.
The fact that he was still faster with a slower 60' and lower trap speaks volumes.

the Slips can be misleading from different factors
like the faster 60ft on the Z06 slip!
The new car is faster than it shows head to head it would be obvious!

Good advice for yourself! Was talking about just those runs. That Z06 time is a world record I would say! We know the ZR1
is faster by a wider margin than on those slips. 9.xx is coming

-No, not at all. But a little. More like friendly ball busting. My expression's motivation was surprise that a perfectly well-rounded sports car could even be even close to the same league as a purpose-built drag car is silly - in the best possible way.

This was the first and second pass. It will take some time to get used to the car and launching it. It is going to go faster.

OP - nice run. Thanks for posting. You'll have the stock ZR in the 9s in no time.

Rig sounds pretty decent running out also.

Hell of a run! Nice job putting it to the ground! I am curious as to what the other runs were. Thing about the demon and hellcat is they are very consistent. Even sub crappy drivers will regularly run excellent times with a good launch. Vs my Corvettes my Hellcats and my Demon typically never got much slower. Always within a 10th even when hot-lapping. What were the ZR1’s other times/traps? Sounded good too!
