I'm kind of surprised at this auction. I would think at this point in ZR1 production that a dealer would already have allocations sold. Considering the claimed "MSRP" price you would think a current or at least local customer of the dealership would have already purchased this car.

Maybe I'm missing something.

I am more surprised this car is still available. A great color/config at MSRP "buy-now" with the car coming off the line next week, I would have thought this Z would have had a short shelf life on eBay with all the forum members seeking an allocation.

I checked the Ebay listing. According to the info listed (scroll down a little to the info section) you will find the MSRP is $143,710. That makes the STARTING bid the MSRP. The BUY IT NOW price is $5k over MSRP. So if you place a bid now at MSRP, you of course would have to hope nobody else bids on it. The dealer is obviously betting on getting a couple of bidders to bump it up over MSRP, or sell at $5k over.
