Default 18x12 fit a C7 ZR1?

I've done 18" rear wheels for a c7 z06. trying to run drag radials on a new zr1.

anyone know if 18's will clear brakes? I see a c7 z07 requires 19"...

I believe they use the same discs, but different pads. If so, 18" wheels won't clear.

You can put an 18" rear ALL DAY LONG on a Z07/ZR1 (C6 and C7). You can even put a high quality 18" in the FRONT which is even bigger than the rear. The rotors/calipers are the same size, 18s fit. Forgeline, Forgestar, HRE, Strasse, Signature, etc. ALL make 18s that fit all around.

We have done hundreds of C7 drag kits with the Z07 brakes which are the same as the ZR1, sans the pads.

I have a set getting cut for mine now! I had a set on my ZR1 last weekend.

They will clear if you choose the right wheel brand and model. HRE and Forgeline are the top two for track/drag performance durability and lightweight construction.

We're the largest dealer in the world for custom forged wheels so feel free to contact me so I can lend some of our knowledge and help you pick out the best wheel for you.

ccw makes a nice 18 X 12 and a pair of mickeys and you are up town.

weld makes a nice solution and has now bought ccw so it's kinda the same company with different product lines

all really nice stuff for vette drag combos. I went with a 16" drag pack on the older vettes to get more sidewall flex and cushion the drivetrain

you can get some 335s that will work well in 18' sizes which is what I run on the street

bolt some skinnies up front while you are at it.

knock quite a few tenths off the 60 ft and pay dirt!

Welds won't even clear the base brakes in an 18", the issue is the UCA. So, you have to do a billet knuckle conversion kit

wonder if a lg drag spindle and use stock zr1 brakes would fit a good 18" drag wheel

drag wheels clear without needing spindles if you get the right wheel

What is it about some/most/all Weld wheels that makes them not clear brakes worth a ****? They're one of the biggest names in drag racing wheels yet in order to run them on most late model vehicles, you need a brake and/or control arm kit. Stupid.

I'd stick with a Forgeline 18" set, whether 18" just in the rear or all around, your choice. Put a 325 ET Street SS or the 345 ET Street SS which is a lot taller, both work great on C6 Zs/C7 Zs. There's some other options out there by I believe Hoosier but I think the MT is the best bet.

Agree we are doing more Forgelines than any other 18" wheel on the track for the Zs.
Why would you put something weaker than stocks on your zr1 yo save money on wheels is beyond me. First theyvare not made for the track and second definitely not load rated for track usage, we see it time and gime again we all want go save money but putting a non track rated cast wheel or some other wheel on this monster just isnt your best bet, not about the cheapest 18” that will work its the whole idea of what you want to accomplish.

Give us a text or call 440-915-6166 happy to discuss track setups with anyone wanting them.

The Forgestar F14 18 in. drag pack wheel clears with about 5/8 between the OD of the caliper and the barrel of the wheel.

The Hoosier 315/30-18 will dead hook with ease.
