Default Head to Head: C7 ZR1 vs C7 Z06

I put together another side by side video of my fastest lap in the C7 Z06 and the C7 ZR1. These were in very different weather conditions but both cars had the same tires and same driver. You can really see how the ZR1 accelerates faster at high speed than the Z06. Enjoy!

Very interesting! Which car has more turning angle in the apex of the turns? I tried to play it in slow motion to see but that didn't work, lol.

Only a 0.15 difference in time. What was the weather differences?

Holy crap. You can really drive. That would scare the crap out of me. I give you credit for using your car. I am just a waxer.

It has less to do with weather differences and more to do with being accustomed to the car, I suspect. Sean's been beating on C7 Z06s basically since they were launched so he's got a lot of seat time in them. The data from his ZR1 was literally his second track day in it.

The are so close with same everything interior etc. I suspect it really made getting used to the change in cars very easy. They seem pretty close.

I'll do a video breaking down the data but there is another 0.5 a in there if I just drove the ZR1 as well as the Z06 that day.

Are both cars completely stock? I'm surprised that the lap times were so close especially with what it did at VIR with Jim Mero.

I agree. Plus there is the muscle memory thing. You are so used to doing things a certain way that it takes time to change how you do things. Even though the new car has more potential to work with he isn't mentally prepared to use it yet.

Pretty similar for a 40 grand difference! Didn't look like the ZO6 was getting "hot" either...

Cool video...but still not worth twice the price IMO....but those who have a ZR1 have the money to spend I'm glad you actually use yours.
