Even the playing field.

Put a hitch on the 720s and hook up a 20 foot boat to it.

Outcome would be closer then!

The second dyno is not stock and has sport exhaust which amounts to headers on these cars
Funny the guys driving the 720S and a garage full of cars and the like get MONTANA plates can't they afford the real plates from their home state hope they get a ticket???

Montana has no sales tax. Many people buying super expensive cars will create a Montana LLC and have the LLC acquire the vehicle.

$32k saved on a $400k car in NY

I've only seen one chassis dyno on the 720s and I think that was by FikseGTS from Dragtime. Were the dyno parameters incorrect, is the car modified or is it stock? Remember a POS Viper is faster on the same track with the same driver. Pobst at Willow Spring.

Nothing personal just a reality check. I do like the 720s and would trade everything to have one.

I was talking with a 720s owner and he showed me a video of a dealer day at the track where he was passing a 911 turbo. The lady obvious was not racing him and just cruising. But he did pass her quickly. I was nice and did say anything.

I'll post the ZR1 results from Motor Trend if they test it at Willow Spring with Pobst driving. Betting it beats the Viper. :-)
I'm not aware of Randy driving the Viper ACR around Big Willow. Be curious if he did, because I couldn't find anything either way on it. The ACR was driven by Winker at Willow Springs and ran a 1:21.24 - https://www.prnewswire.com/news-rele...300171797.html

Randy drove both the 720S and the ZR1 around Big Willow, and the results are here, published a couple of weeks ago - https://www.motortrend.com/cars/chev...t-test-review/ - 720S - 1:21.75; ZR1 - 1:23.70

2s is a pretty big gap at the level these cars are at.

i wouldnt feel bad its not faster than a 720s. The 720 spanks the lambo and ferrari 488 which cost the same. Its just the car to to beat now that isnt $1m+.

Congrats on your 720s getting beat by a stock POS Viper.

I remember you being smarter than this.

Sorry!
Clearly a little poetic license in the form of a 1st person narrative is lost on you, Winston. Oh, and I own and have tracked all the cars mentioned at COTA, and the 720s is unequivocally faster, in no small part to 20+ mph advantages on the straights.

The 720S's are dyno-ing close to 700rwhp and run high 9's at 145-147mph! This spanking doesn't surprise me at all.

I'm not surprised Sports Auto had it losing on a tight road track to the ZO6!

Great since they are risking it since they are breaking the law all states have laws that you must register them there if you live there. Cheating on state taxes.

I could see why you would say that, and I'm no expert on registration laws in all the states, but because the car is registered as a vehicle for the business, it is technically legal to register it in Montana. It's kind of a cheesey work around, but it's not illegal.

That is correct. A business is a resident of its state of incorporation. Just need an agent within the state, which is easy to obtain. And if the business of the LLC is to acquire an automobile (a lawful purpose), then it should be just fine.

Yes, that corporation or LLC is domiciled in Montana. But when you reside in say California, and you bring that car permanently into California, you are required to register it in California within 30 days of it entering the state. You're not allowed to drive it forever with Montana plates. You may never get stopped or caught, but that doesn't make it legal.

Brooks i watch all your videos on you tube and i love them.Dont waste your time answering stupid comments from jealous people. The 720 s is a beast able to match the million dollar plus 918 Porsche in a half mile race.Zr1 should not even be in the same conversation. It is a fast Vette and lets leave it at that.

Kinda reminds me of my Polish immigrant sister in law who thinks it's fine to use my fathers handicap parking permit. Some people just don't get it.
