ZR1 Fuel
#3
Engines that run HOT, with high compression to product high HP, will benefit from running higher octane fuel. If you're in a hot climate, want to run the ZR1 hard and heavy, then 100 Octane won't hurt. If you're just cruising around and get on the throttle occasionally to see what 700+ HP can do? 100 Octane won't hurt anything except your wallet.
If you're in California/Arizona/Nevada, where the highest octane rating is at 91, and it's hot almost all the time, and you want to take it to the local drag strip? 100 Octane will likely be well worth your money. I have a friend who tracks his 4 cylinder turbo BMW 3 series on track here in California, and he said it made a HUGE difference with mixing some E85 (alcohol retards detonation) OR run 100 Octane unleaded race fuel.
I suspect ANY force induction DI engine will benefit from 100 Octane when you want to unleash the beast.
