No, it's the pipe between the manifold and the x-pipe where the primary catalytic converter is.

The term downpipe is usually referenced on turbo charger applications and is the pipe right off the turbo charger. Its also where the catalytic converter is positioned...hence the term catless downpipe.

In a ZR1 application its most commonly know as a catless x-pipe or off road pipes.

OP, get in touch with American Racing Headers they produce what your asking for and offer great fit and quality.

That's not what he's referring to. Like Poor-sha said it's the pipes with primary cats between the exhaust manifolds and the x-pipe, not the x-pipe itself.

I haven’t run cats for over a year and haven’t had any issues

You've had a C7 ZR1 for over a year?

I didn’t realize you were talking about a C7 ZR1. Mine is a Z06.

Any "raw gas smell"? That would be a killer for me. Also on the ZR1 I think you'd have to live with a CEL for now anyway since it can't be tuned out.

If I run in the garage for a short time or sometimes if idling at a stop light there is a very small smell of something. But it’s not unburned fuel. I tuned the CEL out.

With the stock cam the raw gas smell isn't bad. Supposedly, you can use O2 eliminators to keep the CEL from turning on (I think they're made by Big Daddy, but check with NorCal, who makes the cat delete pipes.
