Default C7 ZR1 daily tires

I’m wondering if anyone has a wheel setup with Michelin 4S. Apparently they’re the “new” supersport. Looking for a setup that would be ideal for everyday driving + the odd wet/damp track days.
The only problem is the 4S don’t come in 335, so it’s 325/30 or 345/35 for the rears

or if anyone has tires that they use for daily + wet days that they absolutely recommend that would be good to know as well. I heard that Michelin A/S +3 are good too

thanks!

I've got about 1000 miles on the A/S 3's in Florida wet and dry conditions. IMHO they are a suitable replacement for the cup2's for the street.

They ride and track well and provide good feedback. I have not had them on the track so I cannot speak to that.

I too considered the oversize 4S's but the dealer advised it might screw up the antiskid which apparently is based on revolutions per mile.

Cheers

I ran Conti ExtremeContact sports on the street for a while but had to return them due to manufacturer defect(s). They were great tires otherwise, less road noise and noticeably more comfortable ride. Now running Michelin Supersports on the street, Hoosiers on the track.

What size Hoosiers and what wheels are you using on the track?

I use Super Sports on the street with my current Z06, and will do the same with the ZR1 when it arrives.

The new Pilot 4S is the tire that will ultimately replace the Super Sport, but they are not produced in C7 sizes....yet. Production is planned, but since the Super Sport must be made in current C7 sizes for many more years as part of the original deal with GM, those sizes are not the priority.

I don’t feel there is a better tire for the car currently than the Super Sport for street use. The Conti as mentioned above is popular, but I won’t go that route due to the tire not being a runflat.

What was the defect on the Continentals?

I replace the cup tires with Michelin Pilot Super Sports, stock front size and rear 325/25/20, because they are non run flats, and have a softer side wall they are the same width and the 335/25/20 run flats, good in wet or dry, and smooth ride, did this on my Z06/Z07's as well.
