Default Oil pressure observation

I just wanted to ask fellow owners, does your oil pressure change at all? Mine sits at 38 psi regardless if I am on gas or off gas. This is not what I am used to from my GT350 where in idle, its at 25 psi and under load it's between 75 psi-100 psi depending on the amount of throttle being applied and/or temperature of oil.

Oil pressure changes with temperature, rpm, viscosity of oil used and is normally reflected by the oil pressure gage. Throttle opening shouldn't affect it. Does it move off the 38 mark in any other condition?

Nope, its steady around that mark all the time. I have the car plugged in now to charger and its -12 outside, but I remember last time I drove it was always at that mark

While I don't own a ZR1 I do own a C7 and here is about what I see.

At idle, about 25-30 psi
smooth acceleration, about 40-45 psi
spirited acceleration, about 45 to 50 psi
cruising @ 70 mph, about 40 to 45 psi

Some good info here:

Well I have noticed they don't move as much as other cars do. In my ZO6 and ZR1 they do move but never into high fifty's or sixty like I thought they should I have decided they are just that way maybe in the sender unit or the computer, but I really don't know. But if is moving at all I think it is like the rest of us. I would not worry to much unless it stops moving at all then it might be a problem...

Maybe this is also what I observed, its certainly much lower than any other car I observed.

but isnt this a good thing? I get nervous in my GT350 when oil pressure stays at 105 psi when car is cold (oil is 15-50).

Yeah I think this is probably better. Doing some reading these are variable output pumps on the C7 they seem to run a little lower than what we are used to seeing in some other car's. I was like you I found it odd until I got my ZR1 and it was just like my ZO6 so I just dismissed it as the way they were. I believe your good enjoy the beast and be CAREFUL it really is a lot of car.
