Jake looks great with Xpel and ceramic coating
Air gap around edges came out looking like pin stripes. Very nice.

I ended up taking my Xpel off of the Jake. I didn't care for the lines around the emblem and I like it better with a matte finish. So just went with ceramic coating it.

Any idea what might happen to the Jake decal if you want to remove the Xpel film that's been on the car (and over the decal) for several years? Do you think the decal will want to pull away from the car surface?

Oh that’s a great question I guess time will tell. If I’d been a smart man I would’ve ordered my car without Jake and then bought the OEM Jake for $250 less than what I had to pay GM for it. Oh well live and learn. I obviously have more money than brains.

I just took my Xpel off of the cf pieces on the hood 2 days ago and it came off just fine. Whoever takes it off just needs to take their time. Now I'm not sure of how easy it will be after it bakes in the sun. I had mine on less than a month before taking it off.
