Default Tow eye ZR1

Does the tow eye come standard on the ZR1? If not, where is a good place to get one?

No they do not. You can get ones from ZR1 Addons or GM, the GM one fits in the storage slot above the battery, looks like this

Another vote for ZL 1 add-ons. I had mine color matched Sebring Orange.

Yup, I do, 'poco.Tow hooks aren't "rice". Whose installed off track?

1) you joined just 5 years ago and posted 2,000+ times
2) you've only been thanked 130 times which is amazing with 2,000 posts
3) you think a lot of yourself and so you've NEVER thanked anyone for their posts
4) you drive a C6 with 600rwhp and talk a lot of smack about C7's and the upcoming C8
5) you're 6'2" and 235 pounds
6) finally, you think it's cute that you can't spell apocalypse. It's not.

Mine were installed when the car arrived and was setup for track. I don’t take them on and off... why would I.

Whether the car breaks down on-track or on the road, I’ll need the hooks to pull the car up on a flat bed... that’s their purpose.

@Questar I think you meant to respond to poco or zludge. I road race, I have tow hooks, they're not 'rice', I'm good.

. Jeez... I don’t want to hear what you think about either ZR1 wing on the street... or for that matter... what about a wicker on a Z06 or Grand Sport? Come to think of it, is lower aero work not street worthy then either?

I don't know that I'd go so far as to call it "rice". I do, personally, think it's a bit tacky looking for street use, which is why I remove mine when I get home from the track. I'm using the "ZL1 Add-ons" one, and the hinged ring easily unscrews from the dark grey/black shaft that attaches to the car. So I just leave the shaft bolted to the car, and attach the rings as needed. It takes all of a minute, and when the rings are off the car, it's difficult to tell something's there. The shaft just blends into the plastic grate on the front of the car.

Sorry to have hurt your delicate feelings, i think it looks tacky though on an otherwise awesome ZR-1. Too each their own i suppose!

Agreed on all counts. I use a 1" wood dowel to ensure mine is nice and tight. Don't care if others leave theirs in off-the-track. In my book, if you road race leave it in all you want. Rice is when you pretend your car is used for something it isn't.

My same question after taking Museum delivery + finally having time to go over the Owner's Manual, when I realized there was no tow hook/ring on top of the rear-mounted battery compartment...

Response from Shane @ Museum Delivery yesterday after call to Chevrolet/GM Customer Care referred me to my dealer/Museum Delivery staff:
