Default Your ZR1 and fast food drive thru's

I have not taken my ZR1 through one of those but if you have any issues? I guess it all depends on the layout of the drive thru area.

Now since the Covid 19 **** all restaurants in my area are closed and only open for take out or drive thru pick up. However, when I go through them in my regular car most of them have high curbs and some zig zagging to get to the window to pick up your food. As I wait in line I imagine trying to negotiate my ZR1 thru them and I must say it is tight (or very tight) and the chances of coming out of there unscathed is slim to none. There are definitely major chances of front splitter damage if I tried it in the ZR1. If it was a simple straight drive thru then it should be ok.

What are your experiences with them in your ZR1 (if you dare try using them)?

Your kidding right? Why would you risk curbing wheels, body parts for a hamburger? lol. Sounds like you haven't learned your lesson aka your splitter. Not my car but if you feel the need just take your daily.

Did I say I was going to take mine? The FFDT here are tight and I'm not taking mine thru one. I would only do it if I did my recon on one with my regular car and it's a straight shot in and out.

Whether I learn my lesson or not with my damaged splitter is not your concern. I drive my car and things will happen ALA it's not a catastrophic accident where major items are wrecked or destroyed they're battlescars and give the car character. My money and I'll spend it how I want be it mods or fixing/replacing CF bits.

I have taken my ZR1 twice to FFDT and because it is tight and narrow I turn on the front camera and take it nice and Slooow.
Normally I take my daily driver Cadillac CT6 and use the front camera also !

Hasn't stopped me...but...the front cameras have become my best friend with parking, drive throughs and the like. YMMV

Not sure how treacherous the drive thrus are around you, but I have taken vehicles much longer and wider than the ZR1 though those things without running into things.

So yeah I routinely take my ZR1, my daily Acura, and my wife’s Audi with very unforgiving 21” wheels on it through many a fast food agility course. I routinely see lifted brodozers on super wide wheels rolling though them as well.

As I just said, I dare, and no problems. A couple of times at In&Out burger I’ve had the drive thru kid flipping out because he’s never seen a ZR1 before.

As a courtesy to them and remembering my high school days when I worked in the McDonalds drive thru, I change the drive mode to tour to keep the exhaust quiet as possible. Hated when some chode in a Camaro IROC would roll through and I’d hear only his exhaust and not his order.

I put it back on track momentarily just as I drive off to give to kid a thrill.

Some places let u do that but some don't. Haven't tried that at my local joints but if I get the opportunity I'll give it a whirl.

that’s what I did and I still hit one of the curbs because I am an idiot. I saw that the layout was designed by a 3 year old but I still went for it. Smh

I just use my parking camera's. They work pretty good. Haven't scratched yet and I drive my cars a lot.

Use your cameras there is enough room to get the car through you just have to be cautious or have a passenger guide you.

A little "testy" today aren't we.. COVID-20 getting to ya... The idiot whose designed the drive-thru at these hamburger joints drives a Brodozer and dislikes sporty cars.. Well, screw him... I accept the challenge once but will not return to this hamburger joint! There are others.

Don't try to hug the inside curb for the window. The splitter is wider than you might think from the driver's seat. just sayin' .....
