Default Back in a ZR1: Manual this Time!

Hey guys, few years back I had an Elkhart Lake Blue ZR1 but it was an automatic. Loved the power of it but no offense to others, but the automatic just didn’t provide the enthusiast experience I expected. Hence I sold it to buy a Miami Blue 991.2 GT3RS. I’ve put 20k miles on the RS and absolutely love it for track days, mountain runs, rallies, etc. And even with 22k miles it’s in perfect pristine condition. A special experience if you’re fortunate enough to ever own one. However I’ve always wanted to find a manual ZR1 in blue but they are so hard to find. I think only 23 made? This past weekend I found what I was searching for: Manual, Blue ZR1, Full PPF, Extended Warranty, $144k MSRP with all the right options and while it has 30k miles on odometer, well cared for and over maintained. Happy to share that I was able to join this group back and enjoy 2 cars attack the street/track from complete opposite experiences. Look forward to keeping these in the stable for some time. Enjoy pictures.

Beautiful car, great color, 30k miles, not even broken in yet. I bought a similar ZR1 this past July 2023 with 21K miles, M7, no garage queen for me, previous owner drove it & I have already put 4k miles on it since I bought it. These cars are a blast to drive. Home Run for you.

Thank you and ultra violet is great color on the RS. I think they only made that on the 2016 .1 RS generation.

Wow that’s a great story almost exactly like mine. You’re so right that it’s almost impossible to find a Blue (Elkhart or Admiral) 2019 ZR1 manual and especially for a reasonable price. They just didn’t make that many manuals of either color. I had an Elkhart Lake Blue low wing manual coupe that I ordered and bought new from MacMulkin in 2019. I sold it in late 2019 and went back to a C7 Z06. After a year I realized what a mistake I made and began looking for another ELB ZR1 Coupe low wing manual. With only 5 being made, I didn’t hold out much hope I’d ever get one again because of the rarity and the crazy prices. Well after 4 years of searching I just found and bought a 2019 Admiral Blue low wing manual coupe with 26,000 miles on it for under original MSRP in late March. Talk about a miracle. I’d prefer Elkhart, but Admiral Blue is a close second and there are only 3 AB low wing manual coupes in existence. Just curious where you found it. I didn’t see it on any auto sale websites, which is how I found mine (Autotrader). Congrats again, I know the feeling. It doesn’t get any better than the sound of the ZR1 exhaust and the rev match feature is one I’m sure you’ll love!

wow, great color and congrats as well. Yeah, this one never hit the market. I had messaged via Instagram the owner down in Tampa a number of months ago and just asked if he were to ever sell it to give me first dibs before he listed it. Which he did this past week. So I drove down to Tampa and got it. Haven’t even had it a week and already 5 similar messages through Instagram with guys trying to buy it off of me. These cars are going to keep going up if manual so hold on to them.

Yea, I’ve already had people wanting to buy mine as well! I’d say you got very lucky that the guy remembered you wanted to buy it and contacted you. Great Job!!! My car had no protection on it and I had to spend some money having it professionally buffed out, clear film applied to 85% of the car and put on front and rear ACS XL rock guards, but now I’m ready to go cruising in the mountains and already signed up for multiple big car shows. Out here in Colorado, I’ll be the only one with a ZR1 at the shows, which is kinda cool having a car that no one else has! And yes, I plan on holding on to this one… probably my last Corvette.

Seeing cars like this with miles makes me so happy! My black 1ZR ZTK M7 has 19k miles on it and I wish I had the time to drive it more! Enjoy it!

Very nice combo of cars as well. I picked up a Huracan Tecnica last year (6k miles on it already) and the contrasts of a mid (or rear in your case) paddle shift car to the ZR1 is perfect. Two totally different but equally fun experiences!

That’s awesome. Total smiles per miles on that one I bet. Keep going!
