LSX Mag videoed several, what they called E-Rays, at Nurburgring! Certainly possible and they gave no details of how they knew what they were! Few specifics in article but the exhaust outlets show they had LT2's NOT LT6 Z06. They did say they had 335 section width rear tires and wide Z06 body, as is expected. They mentioned there were several C8 Z06s in the area!
One thing of some interest is they did call it an E-Ray NOT a Grand Sport!
