ZER Performance Package

Racer
I will never drive my ERAY in the winter so the ZER is a option I will order. It’s not the traction etc it’s the crap roads and salt!! In my mind it’s still a summer car especially here in the upper Midwest.

- Aaron Link, GM Exec said r.e. the suspension in an E-Ray walkaround:
- it's more like the Z51 and NOT the extra added stiff spring, race car like Z06
- And what Tadge amd Harlan Charles said in the Steve Garrett Podcast:
- the E-Ray is more like a luxury Racer and the Z06 more for Track Rats
I say the E-Ray will be like the Z51 and the Z06 significantly stiffer. The Base and ZER Performance Option both come with MRC as standard. So ride is adjustable to some degree.

Thanks JerryU. I wonder if they had to increase the spring rate a little because the ERay is several hundred pounds heavier than the Stingray.

ZER Performance Package
When you’re ready for even higher performance, you need the available ZER Performance Package. It comes standard with high-performance Michelin® Pilot® Sport 4 S ZP summer-only tires† as well as chassis tuning and other performance enhancements.
Can anyone tell me about the Chassis tuning and what are the OTHER performance enhancements?

From the 2024 E-Ray order guide - ZER Performance Package, includes (XFR) 275/30ZR20 front and 345/25ZR21 rear, blackwall, high performance tires and (FED) ZER suspension with Magnetic Selective Ride Control

Thanks, everyone wants to know what that chassis tuning involves? What makes it differ than say a Z51 car?

Most likely referring to a specific E-Ray MSRC calibration. It's a new combination that they've not produced before with the wide body, Z06 wheel and tire sizes, default carbon ceramics, etc. Don't forget that the base E-Ray is going to have an all-season runflat and the ZER car is going to come with a summer-only perf. tire. Each one will probably have its own calibration.

Verbal announcements and answers to the question said ZER is change of tires only by the corvette management team during interviews.
the order guide states specific suspension tuning and mrc shocks.
we should get official answers to the question within the month

Yep, will have to wait for magazine test where they can ask.
So far we know, like all E-Rays it comes with MRC. Is the software different?? If no spring or sway bar or bushing differences still possible to match the tire stiffness characteristics. Only GM can say and probably won't until a magazine tests.

CTF cars are out. Orders can be submitted on Aug 17. That's less than a month. I hope the magazines have the cars now. Looking forward to the reviews and some more information.
