Default Direct Methanol Injection

Can someone that's familiar with methanol injection shed some light on where you would mount nozzles for the C8 since the intake from the airbox is so short. I know Eric from ProCharger used methanol injection for recent videos where he made 880WHP, but with the Procharger setup there's a lot more ducting to mount nozzles. Any input is appreciated.

You can mount the nozzle in the coupler from the intake to the throttle body. Or if you want to go all out we can do a direct port system in the manifold.

The Lingenfelter carbon fiber intake has direct injection option for meth or nitrous. Or just have someone tap the stock manifold.

I won’t have a manifold soon, I’m getting a magnuson 2650. I was considering meth injection as a possibility if I run out of fuel while adding boost. Direct injection might be the way to go down the road. TooHighPSI just posted their C8 running port plates.

If you're doing a PD blower, you really want to do some research about meth injection. I'd suggest you jump over to the C6 ZR1 and C7 Z06 sections and do a little research. There's some debate on whether methanol would be harmful to the rotors (or rotor coating) if sprayed pre-blower, and the most effective setups I've seen on PD blowers have it ported into the blower lid post rotors. Of course C6 ZR1s and C7 Z06s have a 2nd IAT sensor after the blower intercooler that timing tables are based on, so not sure you'd get any cooling gain doing that on a C8 since there's probably no 2nd IAT, but you would still decrease the actual intake temp and add the meth as additional fuel.

Thanks for the heads up. Hopefully with tuning available more fuel systems are in development for the C8.

I run an Alky control meth setup on my Procharged C8. Nozzle before throttle body. Helped a lot with fueling. The car runs wideband 02's so it self adjusts the added methanol.
For rotors, been spraying meth a magnacharged cars for 15 years. Before blower. haven't lost a blower yet.

I believe there are. Ciccio made 725whp with the TT setup on stock fuel, but they have an add-on system for above that (as would any company doing a 700+whp system). 700whp seems to be about the limit for stock fuel system.

I ran Alky control on my A&A C6 GS, it was a great setup other than constantly having to refill the meth. But then I was running a dual nozzle setup that was meth dependent. Did you ever have unusual wear on the maggie blower rotors? I've seen some folks that were concerned about it eating the coating off the rotors, but others like yourself haven't reported any issues. I thought about it when I had my C6 ZR1, but since it was already set up for Flexfuel, I just ran E85.

Thanks for the info. Do you know how much power you are making with the added meth injection? Also, where is your meth tank, any pics?
