As the title states. My mental state is: My C5Z is my ridiculous power car, and I have other FI vehicles. But, never had nitrous, plus it still seems like the best option for the C8. For icing, think two tanks would look cool in the frunk, haha.
In our current tuning state, when thinking about TT or supercharging the C8, it ends up with me preferring a TT eray, or wait forever until I can buy a ZR1, or wait until the C8 HTC kits are more around 10k to DIY + TCU is unlocked.
Any advice or discussion appreciated, thanks for your time.
I have learned a little on nitrous so far. I have a 100 shot on my z06...
1) The trans is the issue. People will tell u that you can spray a 100 shot on stock clutches. You cannot. They will tell u a pressure controller will be fine, I'm about to find out but I doubt 15% more clamping force is gonna solve this.
2) if you spray through the shifts 1 or two things will happen, it will either slip like crazy or the TCM will freak and throw it into neutral.
3) the z06 really likes nitrous. My 60-130 on a 100 shot was like 6.18 which I do not know of a faster 60-130 from a z06 yet.
4) for you and a stingray you at least can tune the ECM so you have a leg up. Also you only have 1 TB and they actually make kits for your car. They dont for mine so I had to throw something together.
5) Stand alone fueling is the key imo. I have stand alone fuel setup in my trunk
These are some highlights of what I have learned so far.
I ironically the plate is 95mm. I have a ported 91mm from soler and had socal port match my IM to match the tb. While they are not 95mm it is damn close when all together. I would guess all my ported stuff is closer to 93mm.
