What I can't tell is if that is a MULE or an IVER car.
If the Mid-engine is a MULE then anything other than the wheelbase is just cobbled together stuff. Chassis systems use MULEs to get 2 years of Winter Testing done (second year is done with IVERs). Since the body section is left uncovered, I lean toward MULE as an IVER usually wears a "full diaper" bag camo for "new models" as in those not refreshing an existing car (the ZR1 would be an example of a refresh)
So I think the parts you see on the ME car are in face meaningless in determining style or brand. But that's based on me thinking its a MULE not an IVER. Time will tell.

I think it looks terrible The proportions are all off, and looks like a 2x4. One of the many beautiful aspects of Corvettes is the long sweeping hood. Front end looks like an old NSX, but with a boxy rear.

Either the Chevy guys are having a good laugh on us by showing us the ugliest mid-engine car ever built in these spy photos, or we are all going to be crying when it is released.

Does anyone ever remember any car of any generation looking good in camo or all wrapped up? Jeez guys, chill out. These are just test mules.

FWIW, I really doubt GM will flub the exterior aesthetics.
They haven't shown a habit of doing so recently IMO.
I don't know, these are pictures from the C7 spy shots, and they look amazing in comparison. Granted I know the camo masks details and the body lines are not exact, but the proportions don't look great to me. No matter what generation of Corvette, the front has always been longer than the rear, and the profile since the C3 has been pretty consistent. However, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Trust me, I am hoping I am completely wrong with my assessment and that it is amazing.

I wouldn't have guessed its final look was under the camo.

Well depends on the test. Some I'm sure are fitted with the stock summer tires (they don't care if they crack), others Winter rubber, and finally some might be using All-Seasons.

The passenger cabin looks almost identical to the #9 car next to it, and everything under wrap forward and aft is likely just something cobbled together to get the test runner on the road.
The proportions may not even be close on a chassis mule, with a clunky body intended to just house the test engineers.

Chevrolet just reclaimed its first mid-engine sports car prototype, the 1960 CERV I, from a private collector at an auction for $1.32 million.
Coincidence? I think not...

I'll get excited when it's available to John Q Public, until then, I couldn't give a rats....
Sorry, but I just don't understand all the hysteria over something that's not available.
