The information you posted regarding the mid-engine Corvette is interesting. Thank you for sharing.
Let's hope someone leaks an accurate photo of the car.

Its not worth it to post info from people in the know on this forum. No matter what is said people will poop all over you. I know people on the Corvette program and yes they tell me things.

People are never happy on this forum about insider info. They choose to believe what they want.

I just sit back and laugh now. Everyone will see in due time....

He had to go on the initial sea trials and said the noise was scary as that hull stress relieved some of the highly restrained welded hull stiffeners!

I sat next to a guy on the train who wanted to tell me all about the tenth gen CX but he was so excited he couldn't stop giggling before I had to get off at my stop.

Human nature loves to speculate, and it does cause excitement and provides you to express your opinion. I am sure GM knows this, and encourages our discussions. I read everything, evaluate it, and make my own guess of what will happen. If a person did know, and it was posted here, most would be skeptical of what was stated, again human nature. I like going along for the ride. I really think we all can agree with this, as when its finally released and we see it, the next day we will start the process all over again starting a forum for the C9 start to speculate and state I know a guy who knows a guy that says..... Been on this forum for a very long time and have seen it over and over....

There is a Cadillac sports car in the works as well as the MR Vette. We are seeing the Corvette here, doubt the Caddy will even be spotted till this has already been announced.

Maybe there will never be a C7 ZR1?

So all those "spy" photos we've been seeing are a revised Z06, possibly a track version, like a Z06X?

Thanks for posting up the rumor..it's always fun to hear possible c8 variants.

I don't think rear mid engine will cost more than 5 grand for the transaxle..otherwise the c7 corvette is a sole platform anyway...

Since it's not shared with other GM products...I don't see a reason to add more cost than the transaxle..

Grand sport c7 costs 66 grand..add five grand and that the cost of a 500 hp rear mid engine corvette...launching first as a high end z06 type model...followed late on by a 500 hp version ...and then a few years later a ZR1 rear mid engine model for big bucks

Yep. GM went to the trouble to design a new wheel with "ZR1" cast into the rim just to throw us off

I wish I could see a "1" when I look at the stamp.
Somebody needs to get us a better shot of that wheel.

The ZR1 and LT5 RPO codes have already been leaked. There will be a ZR1.

Worse yet are the news reports about problems that didn't get fixed after a year, or even after a generation.

ZR1 is still not announced and the earliest we might see it is what, as a late 2018 model? As others have stated they are not doing all that work on it and release the C8 a few months later. Also, C7 sales have been pretty good even into the fifth year.

More obviously, did anyone else notice the ZR1 keeps showing up weekly in new spy photos ... yet that mysterious "C8" demo has not been photographed in quite some time.
