I remember driving the GTI with the dct and not being impressed either.
Go test drive a Porsche with its pdk..it's pretty impressive and Porsche dealers love when you call up ahead of times to go for a test drive..
Choose the boxster s or cayman s both with dct s..
That will help you decide..
Just don't end up driving off with a new Porsche ..

Drive at least an s version in sport mode and you will get it.
If Vette goes this way it will be epic, very few will miss manual other than for nostalgia.
I have also owned GTS Porsche and Golf R. Golf is not at all what a DCT is all about. You need to experience it in a Porsche S. It will change you forever.
I still have manuals, but if I had a choice, I will choose DCT every time from here forward.
