It's like the old saying goes, opinions are like a*******... everyone has one, and some are gonna stink more than others.

your work is solid
short nose and solid back hips and wide tires.....perfect
Long nose is weak

Looking forward to the full release...your efforts to giv us insights and possible looks are appreciated.

It is a nice rendering of the shape and proportions with c7 styling cues.

I think you are right - this suggest a curved inlet with a "Hofmeister Kink"-shaped kick forward at the bottom. Not sure if those white points are for attachment holes or something else like a duct liner attachment on the inside.
In many big screenshots the Siemens / UG NX / Teamcenter CAD will delete the fastener details due to clutter on the screen and RAM memory issues in the graphics processor. Only when you pan in do the fasteners start to show up. Hard to tell how many features were "turned on" when these shots were made. My guess is the part structure for something like this has literally thousands of part files. How many were turned on is a guess at best.

Had to google that name! Does seem to show that general shape...and as you say...how it is all ultimately realized will be very interesting indeed.!
I would "guess" that the white dots are indeed fastening holes for a trim piece since they follow the body lines... but ya never know...
Hope we get some more hints soon!

Drifting
[QUOTE=firstvettesoon;1596523408]In the side view, the CAD scoop is approximated and stretched and straightened in to the correct position. It is close but may not be the exact shape.
If not for trim, what could those holes be for?
Let me know what you all think...

I figured that's the seam between the fender and rocker and the line is aliasing in that shot. There's a few other edge lines around there with that same jaggedness.

Those dots are very evenly spaced and have two vertical dots (holes) just behind the scoop too. Don't see how that is not intentional...but hope we find out more soon...

I like the OP’s rendering. I would be surprised however if the small side windows (the ones that look into the hatchback area) will be copied from the C7. I’m expecting a complete clean sheet.

I do like the painting of the A pillar to match the roof spears. I never like the stubby, looking sawed-off, roof spears on our C7’s (and earlier ME renderings).

Take a look at the images from Dan Savage's post. IMHO, both he and MarkG37 have the drop on the side intake design - two strong parallel strakes connecting to the top and bottom of a soft CERV-inspired C-shaped intake.

While I think that the curve of the side intake may very well go the other direction (similar to the CERV), I must say that this render:
Seems to depict the upper edge of that intake as it appears in this blow-up:
Note how the body line of the door runs into and under that camo'd edge (underneath the black cover). It will be interesting to see the final (real) design!
