NAIAS making a change
Looks like we might see the reveal earlier than January 2019.

When reading some other/background articles, NAIAS has said that this change, if it were to occur, will not occur before calendar year 2020 — so this possible change in the show’s date will not have any effect on the ME’s reveal.
Here is just one confirmation of that change will not not occurring before 2020.

If correct, the reveal should only be approx 7 or 8 months out(around this Oct latest. right?)

That article is now eight months old and has been discarded as inaccurate by many. First off, 2019 production will continue though “estimated March, 2019” (per an internal GM document I and others have read that was send on Dec. 13th to all Chevy dealers receiving a 2019 ZR1 allocation). Second, the Plant will need to then close for a time for the assembly line conversion to produce both FE’s and ME’s on the same assembly line. Many expect that closure/re-work to take around 4 to 8 weeks — all leading to, next, a very slow ramp up of ME production (echoing the very slow ramp up of the C7) — with first customer ME deliveries around Aug/Sept, 2019.
The ME reveal is going to be a day or two before the January 14, 2019 press days of the NAIAS Detroit show.

I am still hoping it’s closer for customer to have a ME.

I too wish the first customer ME deliveries were next Spring (though give that less than a 5% chance).
Perhaps now most, maybe all, agree any potential, future NAIAS date change would not effect the ME’s reveal...
