I have a feeling the "squircle" will be a very prominent shape on the C7

Larry/car, many might respectfully disagree with you. I have quite a few “roundish” friends” who are extremely thankful for the start of flatbottomed steering wheels. As they would tell you in person (they are candid and forthright), “I need the bottom to be flat to get my huge stomach in and out of the car.”
I am a twig myself — so I have no personal input in this; just passing on that my very larger friends are glad the ME will come with a flat bottomed steering wheels.
Not a single person in my class at Spring Mountain, regardless of shape, had any steering issues with the new, flat-bottomed steering wheels.
