I just don't see why or how the people doing the renders just ignore the established facts of the car when doing a new render? #1., Several photos have shown the headlight cluster comes up almost directly up to and above the apex of the front wheel well. This headlamp cluster in this render doesn't even rise up onto the fender at all! #2. The tail lamps wrap around the edges of the rear, as seen on the leaked rear bumper cover. #3., The rear diffuser also is shown on many pics having a portion that comes around the lower sides of the car. This render has it contained directly to the back like the C7, ... Wrong! I'm beginning to believe as well that GM is putting these corny C7'ish renders out there to more dramatically emphasize the real deal when it's revealed! I'm betting the car will look nothing like this render, and more closely resemble this McLaren 650S, especially how the rear fenders taper down and probably the side scoops as well.

If you're asking me, mine is 30. Not too dark, perfect.
Back on topic...I like the rendering a lot, except for the rear end. I think that plain is ok, as long as the proportions are right. This looks pretty close.

Anyone who has spent just a brief time reviewing the multiple ME CAD drawings, and the various drawings/overlays derived from the images of the mules since the McDonald's images, would have come up with something more inline with what FVS has done and less of the C7-hacked "rendering" they chose to utilize.
Any magazine that would use such an image is just being lazy and any artist who would take a paycheck for that effort should be ashamed.

"Remember the Fiero?"
That's the most pointless argument ever. 35 year old low-tech, low-budget design, vs latest tech, high-budget high performance car.

Makes perfect sense to me. An evolution of the C7 but not too drastic, kinda like the 61 versus the 60 and the 73 to 74. Using the C7 front and rear end but stuffing the engine behind the seats.
I like it and it still much like a C7 so those who still love the C7 look will have it for a few years. If that is close to what it will be they will do very well.

That double layer of cloth on each side, under the brake light, maybe covers the exit for the brake ducts/engine bay?
