Actually in the same boat. The back end just looks so meh.

If it does look good, I won't get the base C8 but rather a C8Z or C8ZR depending on what's offered.

If it retains 80% of what has been rendered on here and comes with the twin turbos and PDK it is then just a matter of where do I sign...

Love this rendering. Cadillac, make way for the Corvettes!

If it's ~500HP and ~$75K with a few options, I'm in.

I would pay that and a bit more for a 2LT Z51 with 500+ hp.

We will see... I am in if looks close to a couple of the renders shown here. If not, I will drive my '18 GT-3 and my 66' big block....

Oh, I'll be excited about the C8, but the absence of a manual transmission, if that proves accurate, is still what's going to be the reason to pass on em. At least for the time being. I'm not getting any younger, but that's a big reason why I bought a C7 with M7.

Food for thought: Do you guys think the C8 will fare well in sales despite not offering a manual transmission? Since many Corvette enthusiasts are all about their manuals?

Yes. ^^^^
I believe that sales will be brisk. 👍 The Corvette excitement is back since the advent of the C7 in the Fall of 2013.

Are they going to offer the front engine car as well at the same time ? When I read they were doing this I was like if they just drop the front engine they are asking for a mess of trouble from loyal Vette owners ?

I think they should just keep a front engine Vette and just call this something new.... Way out of my price range.

Well I know it has to start around North of 80, anything over 35 is to much for me....... It is very daring of them to take a chance like this....

When I was a kid I loved mid engined cars but now for some reason I don't. I think it was because I used to love Indy racing....

They will sell every automatic they build for the first few years. No manual will hurt sales in the later years.

For sure, hasn’t hurt Ferrari, Lamborghini, or any of these other companies. People will get over it like everything else.

Good answers, guys. The C8 is sure getting a lot of attention. Still deciding whether to get mine as soon as I can, or wait a bit like a few others on here..

If the base C8 has at least 500 HP and is base priced at between 60k-65K ...then I am in for one at MSRP.

IMO 500hp is a twin turbo V6 or V8 (which will have modders drooling), and the base price for a C8 will be around $125K.
The "supercar" hybrid won't be out till 2021 or 22 if the economy doesn't tank.
If the economy tanks then better to build a limited # of them.
IMO the "supercar" hybrid Vette will be the first over $200k Vette.
