New Render
#42
I'm pretty optimistic that I will like the look of this car. Renders never do anything justice, the real car always ends up looking a bit different with real paint and real light reflecting off of the body lines.
I'm still not convinced the side scoops will be that angled shape. There are just too many pics where the scoops are changing shape (or bulging outward) at speed that makes me think they are concealing the true shape with some vinyl wrap. I think it will be more like the Car and Driver render.
It's all subjective though. WIth every new generation of Corvette there always seems to be a group of people that dont' like it, but sales remain pretty much the same (not counting when the C6 hit a slump during the recession).

Supposedly that KKS Studio comes really close to rendering what the final product is going to look like. If that's the case I'm not really impressed with what I see. Just looks odd and not as sleek or modern as I would have expected from the next generation of Corvette. Hopefully their rendering machine was broken when the did this one!

I like it and if it comes with a V8 manual transmission, arctic white with black wheels and yellow calipers and a transparent roof, there may be a C8 in my future.

Can't Wait!!!
I'm so glad I sold my C7 (2016) last month for sure now after seeing this latest rendition. Smok'n Hot for sure! LOVE it!!! I sold it early rather than wait for 2021 or maybe 2022. I hate to wait that long but this will be my15th and last Corvette I buy (I think) so I probably wait for the end of the 2nd year of the next generation,C8, and wait for the "big" engine to be released and/or a Grand Sport. But, then again, after the 1st ME is released, I may not be able to wait for the 2021 or 2022! AAGGGHHHH!!! GOD help me, please!!! LOL

Yup, I would have kept the C7 too. That's way too long to wait...who the hell even knows what the world is going to be like in 3 years?

Knowing how much GM drew inspiration from the 550 Maranello for the C6, and how popular it was, I wouldn't be surprised if they do the same for the C8 ME, loosely based on the 458/488 design. If so, it would be a winner.

I love the 550, I like the C6. I have never looked at either of those cars and thought one looked like the other.
