In my world, the base model will have a painted top. Then there will be an option for a translucent top and a two top option.

My C8 will have the painted top.

You can delete this response as I kind of got the gist in your first response. Hahahaha

You can clearly see the outline of the window in the camo cars. It's not going to be what you want it to be. The renders have it right. You do not.

The side scoops on the ME will be very SUBTLE rather then aggressive and angular. If you’re looking for side scoops like on the C8.R, it ain’t gonna happen. In fact, I would bet even the ones on the C8.R aren’t very big either. The camo engineers have done an amazing job fooling 90% of those here. I think you’ll all be very surprised how those will look when it’s finally revealed. The GM designers won’t put ugly side scoops on a car like this and that it what most of those scoops look like in the renders.

Btw, can someone post pics of these along side the ‘Ring camo cars for a comparison of the side scoops just to show the difference?

When you look at a top view as in the render below, you can see that the scoops are not “sticking out to a big extent”. They are well inside the outer side of the wheels.

i did an overlay a while back that shows the camo cars are exactly what’s under the black tarp images. This also matches most key features of the c8R basics.

FVS, my main, main, designer man...

I am noting your noting that the C8 and C8.R share nearly identical characteristics. I think that's true in terms of general comparisons of design details. But the proportions, that is, how the car appears in terms of the basics--length, width, and height--are surprisingly different.

I don't even mean this necessarily in a critical way. It's just interesting how proportion, not just specific design elements and detail, can create overall impact. Watching the videos of each is like seeing two completely different and unrelated automobiles--to my eye at least.

That piece that is in the middle of the grille and is fully covered in the camo shots might actually be the radar for the adaptive cruise control if it offers it!

no doubt there will be differences. But not like the C7 vs c7r differences.

I agree they they look different but I think the main difference is the side skirts and ground effects.

No no doubt some aftermarket parts will mimic this look. It’s great. But not on my roads.! I need ground clearance. I’m hoping for auto / manual ride height adjustment option.

Interesting it sounds neutered.
CR said they will be using the C7 next season.

Swap the exhaust out if aftermarket companies offer an exhaust.

For me, the best sounding exhaust on a Corvette is hands down B & B Bullets (without mufflers).

Default Walk around the C8

I apologize about the quality and the windows dropping out. I don't have a fix for that yet. Also my inept camera tracking effort. It took too long to render to try redo it. I desperately need to learn new software.

Just a guess from the C8R video. It'd be cool and unexpected, no?

Thank you Chazcron for an excellent walkaround, a nice preview of what GM will show us at the car’s reveal. We so appreciate your incredible skills. And done in such a beautiful color.
