Based on what, the C7R's appearance on TV? Tell that to the guy that showed up in a new base C7 automatic and overheated the transmission in a lap. He and his wife got back in the car and left after 5 minutes of track time. Marketing has successfully embedded the expectation of a C7R in every Corvette badged car. A base car only buys you to badge, a Z06 buys you a lap and that magazine article with fast lap hierarchy, a ZR1 a session. The C7R is the only one that can do a 24 hour race at speed. The only car that is a C7R is a C7R.

The basic difference is that the C7R is not a production option, it is a purpose built race car.

Fantastic and brilliant Chaz ...compliments...

Great angle,No wing, nice colour etc....Nice that you considered that it’s the base model C8.

I have a question about the coke bottle shape bottom rocker ,
I am wondering home many inches ...I figure 3 or 4 inches....wouldn’t that have everything to do with the scoop opening ?
I don’t see the scoop opening being more the 2 inches at most.
Thoughts ?

I don't give a crap about the super car title. If I did, I'd but a McLaren 570GT instead. Personally, I'm going to enjoy spanking my supercar friends on the track with my C8.

I doubt there is a street legal production car on the planet that can go 24 hours at speed. However, the Z51 and GS are quite capable of relatively long open-track sessions, and the situation with the Z06 is not nearly as bad as you suggest.

Lol that v10 came from an Audi sedan.

On design alone the Galardo is an exotic, it has proportions made for a wallpaper not to fit two big people in comfort.

The driving experience is also more exotic, at the limit the Gallardo has a better weight distribution, the 550-2 is especially good at this.

While in the photos the Gallardo interior doesn't look that special, I think the materials are quite good from sitting in it. The displays are a bit older tech given that they are generations apart so nothing your can do about that.

No matter how new, entry level Corvettes will never be as exotic as a Lambo. The age of the supercar doesn't make it less super. It just doesn't work that way.

Great angle for the render. I love it!

I'm more and more convinced, with each new render, the C8 is going to be beautiful when revealed.

IF there is an exposed engine window in the hatch as you show on your HT Vert ME rendition,

THEN to show the engine with the HT down would suggest that the HT stores vertically similar to the Chevy SSR. Probably the best solution IMO. Thus there needs to be room behind the seats for both a firewall and HT storage along with a second wall for separation from the engine. Maybe even the engine sits rearward just a little more to line up with the axels. A side benefit, increased cabin sound isolation from the engine compartment.

Thats pretty slick roof retraction for the c8. I look forward to seeing the c8 s official release to see how close your assumptions and designs are.

the corvette team would do well to follow your insights.
