OK, folks, here's a triple, All-American red, white, and blue 360º spin render. I know the taillights are a bit messed up, but I felt it was time for another one of these. I also extinguished the grille light bar for this one.

Going to be fun to compare the real thing to this thread and see how close you got.

Yes, I recommend GM give you a C8 for preventing riots by the impatient Vette masses. And same recommendation for Firstvettesoon. He first tried to satiate our cravings. I'm believing it's gonna get better from here. Watching this thread daily. Thank you gentlemen.

I'd settle for an invite to the reveal. FVS, too. His early work inspired me to start my model.

I sure hope GM invites both firstvettesoon and Chazcron to the reveal. They both so deserve to be at the reveal!

I actually started modeling the dash. The monitor and button panel are Photoshopped. Not much to go on for the upper dash and when I get to it, the instrument cluster. Proportions are definitely off at this stage.

Chaz, this is an excellent start to visualizing the C8 interior from what we see so far. I took the liberty to enhance your beginning by lightening up for more detail.
The trouble I’m having is reconciling the below pictures from a seen ME pics through the windshield, the leaked interior pic and your interpretation. Let me explain by following my colored letter inscriptions on the leaked interior photo.
A). Your placement of the info screen appears correct rising up and out from the dash.
B). The console area with the buttons is gray and rolls over on the top and does not look to me to interest with “C” which is black. That needs to be resolved, especially the color change.
C). The upper dash leading edge is black and continue toward the passenger side but that detail is hidden by an out of focus area. Thus I tried to interpret with “D”.
D). An extension of “C” continuing in an arc across the passenger side. This I illustrated with the yellow line on the spy shot through the window.
With that I think you need to consider making the dash contour separate and distinct from the consol in both color and where/how they intersect.

Shape vs the Suggestion of Shape
If Chaz's excellent work is correct, the fundamental problem with this car remains. It lacks shape. It lacks curves. It lacks flow.
It's a fat brick with a cacophony of lines etched into it.
They've replaced "shape" with the suggestion of shape. And the really disappointing thing is that it was so unnecessary. The designers either lost their way or the engineers took over. Leadership went south. Nothing illustrates that better than the Ferrari photos. Corvettes are SUPPOSED to be voluptuous.

Thanks Chaz. Looks like we are at a Corvette car show a year from now. Guessing IronV will not be bringing a C8 to your show.
Looks great to me however.

Those who find the test C8s ugly really need to understand that that's exactly what GM wants you to think of the test cars. They arrange foam padding under the vinyl wrap to create the suggestion of a fat brick with a cacophony of lines etched into it.
BTW, I love that phrase, "cacophony of lines." I'm going to steal it if you don't mind.
