Wow. You hate what other guys haul (or don't haul) with their pickup trucks?? And you drive a Corvette?? Around here everyone's "second car" is a pickup. They're called "Kitsap (County) Cadillacs." I know some people still hate pickups--until they want a couch moved, and then it's all, "Say, would you mind.....?" Hey, open up that hatchback of yours and throw it in there, schmuck.

Here, I'll fix it....I don't think the C8 is going to be $169,900

Wait a minute. Is there a possibility GM is bringing us a Corvette truck in order to keep the plant at full capacity? If so, it better be less than $169,000 or it's out of my budget. I don't care how fast it laps the Nordschleife Nurburgring.

OTOH, working 3 shifts of 7 hours, 6 days/week for 40 weeks/year gets over 100K units. Many factories work more than 40 weeks/year and some work 3 shifts 7 days/week. Line speed of 20 is slow.
You seem to have problems with simple math.

"Estimate" is the operative word here. You seem to have problems with simple definitions.
They can "estimate" anything they want...it's NOT A REAL NUMBER.

Ordered with every HD option offered. Bucket seats, HD springs, sway bars front and rear, HD shocks with extra "hop shock" to reduce rear leaf spring wrap-up. Larger aluminum wheels and tires, posi and 5 speed manual. Sat 3 inches lower that the base S-10. Just needed a few mods!
In addition to the pic of the subwoofer in a matched volume enclosure I built, the amp that powered it had a remote so the volume could be adjusted with a **** on the console. Also added a Hypertech programmer set for '93 octane fuel, an MSD ignition, low restriction air filter, B&M shifter, polyurethane sway bar bushings and dual FlowMasters.
Would not swap for my Vette but liked driving it on the Interstate much more than my Grand Sport. No worry if having to go over 18 wheeler tire treads, can see over SUV's and my radar detector wasn't beeping with every trooper cruising in the opposite direction! It was also less noisy than my C7 coupes!

LMC's capacity estimate of 74K is based on two 8 hour shifts, 6 days/week; line speed of 20/hour working 39 weeks.
OTOH, working 3 shifts of 7 hours, 6 days/week for 40 weeks/year gets over 100K units. Many factories work more than 40 weeks/year and some work 3 shifts 7 days/week. Line speed of 20 is slow.

You seem to have a problem with the meaning of words. "Capacity" means the maximum amount. If, according to you, BGA's capacity is 74k it is less than 100k. If they could produce more than the capacity would be higher. Again, if they must produce 100k to be profitable why would they ever build a factory with capacity less than that number? This alone proves you have no idea what you are talking about and everyone on here has made you look like a moron time and time again. Here is a link for your limited mental capacity.

It's a simile. He isn't calling you a moron; he said you've been made to look like a moron. Considering that you have questioned the qualifications of anyone who so much as deigns to answer you, I think your indignation is amusing.

Here's some REAL numbers for you, I hope you can comprehend their significance.
BMW's plant in Spartanburg, SC is SEVEN MILLION Square feet (7 times larger than BGA). If employs 10,000 people (11+ times more than BGA), it produces the X2/3/4/5/6 and soon the X7. In 2017, the plant produced 371,284 units (capacity is 450,000).
BMW Spartanburg produced 37.12 cars per employee in 2017 verses BGA (871 employees) who produced 32,782 cars. Average per employee 37.74 cars.
Now, those are real life numbers, easily attainable. I could care less what a consulting firm THINKS a plant's capacity should be.

The only connection I have to GM is a former CEO was also the CEO of my former employer. Beyond that I have no inside knowledge of future Corvettes but I predict they will be offered in several colors and will have an engine located somewhere within the confines of the body.

I can't find ANY reference to GM employing LMC.
And actually, MY analysis has EXACTLY the same value as YOURS. That would be ZERO. And I'm pretty certain GM is paying YOU the same as they're paying me. Again, ZERO.
All you've done is TROLL these threads with everything YOU think is wrong or can go wrong. Along the way, you've doubled and tripled down on GUESSES that will soon be proven wrong, at which point, like all TROLLS, you will disappear.
And how many Corvettes have you owned?
By the way, here is LMC's entire company roster...96 people. https://www.lmcconsulting.com/
They don't appear in any Top 30 list I can find for manufacturing consulting services
Do you have any clue what the BIG consulting firms have in terms of human assets...Hint, it's TENS OF THOUSANDS.
