Zerv02 was completely vindicated this week, 110%. Regardless if his source on the pricing or NAIAS pans out, there is NO question, his knowledge of the interior was spot on. The most key identifiers being the unique stack of buttons on the right and screen orientation. He is 100% vindicated and validated...insider info that a lot of people shat on him about and called him a troll, falsely.

Also in his defense, he said he made 'alterations' to the sketch so that it intentionally was not 100% correct. He admitted to these changes during the original discussion. So hopefully nobody will nitpick any variations between then and now.

^ Yep, I recall him stating certain details had to be different, at the time, or it'd point to a specific source.

I think a bunch of people need glasses. Where's that touch pad? Where's the vent at the top of the console? Everything is jumbled around other than the buttons at the right side of the console and the wrap-around infotainment screen (the contents of which have been intentionally blurred out).

It would appear that the engine start/stop button is likely where he said it would be. I'm basing that on the fact the D-auto/M buttons for the transmission appear to be in a pretty Huracan-ish style like he said the engine start button would be and in the same place.

I think his sketch was pretty legit. That wall with buttons on top of it isn't a design that anyone would just pull out of thin air and have any real chance of getting right. He actually got it close enough that when I saw this pics there was no surprise as it's basically what he had me expecting to see.

People have to remember that he could not just give us an exact replica of the real interior. He had to change some things up to make it not too obvious on how he got the info.

And some need a bit better reading comprehension. He already stated that it was not an exact replica on purpose. Those that continue to discredit what is a very accurate drawing from months ago look even more foolish.

Lol, some of ya'll kill me. Zerv draws a sketch, says straight up he isn't an artist and spells Forum wrong on it. Says some of the aspects are not correct but gives an idea and ya givin him **** instead of sayin, hey guess I was wrong. Lol, classic. Also, who is to say the interior he saw was this iteration.

All that said I hope he is way off on his price point for base! Lol

This is so funny, we sure are a critical bunch of SOBs! We got some inside information back in the summer, maybe its right or not. Thank you ZERV for the fun you have given us. We are all very excited to see the final product and when it comes out I am confident that we will be impressed. If not , there are other cars to choose from. I for one am grateful that the car is coming out and that GM is investing the big bucks to make us all happy! lol...

After seeing the interior leaks I am confident with zerv02 claims that the c8 will be unveiled Monday. I wonder if Cadillac tomorrow will show their variant of the c8. Regardless can't wait till the big reveal in 2 days.

Absolutely. Elvis will be driving the Corvette onto the stage and Marilyn will be driving the Caddy.

Default Zerv02 appears to have been vindicated.

Great job Zerv02.... Do you think you can post the pictures you said you would once others do leak? I am hoping your pictures will give a better sense of the overall interior look.

Man, people try to read a lot into vagueness. You know who else deals in vagueness? Psychics. Why? Because thy can throw out generalities and get people to interpret them in a manner in which they want to believe, and the "I had to change stuff to hide the source" further expands on that. I'll give him credit for the row of buttons on the side (an ugly feature, BTW), but there wasn't much else in that drawing that isn't generally close to where it was on numerous other cars already in production. Many vehicles have a drive mode ring about there, those that have touchpads (which this doesn't) have them there. Leaving shift buttons off the drawing when they are fully expected to be right where they are is confusing.

It is just as likely that he is a high up program official with indepth knowledge of everything as it is he is an engineer at the interior design company doing the console and steering wheel, or that his wife's brother's buddy is the real one involved with the program and showed him a pic at a bar one night. I.e., even assuming he was 100% correct about this, he may still have no clue on the other stuff. I'll take each claim individually, my views on the other two have been affected in no way.

A buddy of mine at Chevy marketing (global) says they scrapped reveal plans at NAIAS - but then again leaks start on the inside so maybe she's just out of the loop.

No mention of the Corvette in this article, but then again what do they know.
