I can't get the images of the first mid engine mule, and recent spy photos of a weird looking cover to look like it is hiding a hatch. Along with drawings of a rear hatch that look like a sketch more than and official type drawing. I think they they be the best misdirection yet. I think the rear window will be vertical with two flanking pillars similar to the Ferrari 458 Spider (just imagine it had a roof and rear window)

That is the first mule, a Holden with a pickup bed to hide the mid engine.

DucMan, to your original question about the rear window, it is generally believed there will be a coupe and a hard top convertible. The coupe will have a standard fastback window. The hard top convertible may have a vertical rear window that may be retractable with the top.

Thank you for the picture of the convertible I have not seen that before and that is exactly as I would envision the hardtop. With a retractable rear window and the removable top.

Look close, that is actually a C8 chassis (or part of it). Look at the roof, windshield, windows and mirrors. It just has holden body panels bolted to it to disguise it.

That's a photo of a hand built test mule, which is usually the actual frame and powertrain hacked together with parts from a donor car(s). This is the proof of concept phase when they see if the major systems work together as intended, so it should be when they discovered the 5.5TT DOHC V8 could deform the C8's frame, as that's the whole point of the test mule.
What you can see in that photo is not really C8 body parts. It means nothing, except for big picture things like cabin location in relation to axles.
