Default Rick Conti confirms "C8 leaks" were true...

...but Chevy has not yet Finalized these are final specs.

Said GM knows who the Canadian dealer in question is.

I'm guessing he has the same access to that Chevy ordering site.

Go to 1:00 mark:

You don't think he didn't see the same Specs when he logged on to the site?

No, he takes 10 minutes of video to say one sentence of info typed out.

He wrote will not discuss, you say confirmed... so he confirmed w/o discussing. Got it.

Doesn't take a Detective to read between the lines.

Word for word "that information is Not FINALIZED and because that information came by way of a Chevrolet ordering system..."

Just what we needed, a new thread to explain another new thread that was just posted this morning. Really?

Rick Conti said the same thing the Kerbeck guy said within hours of the screen shots first appearing a couple of days ago, and that whatever dealer let them slip out is in violation of the GM franchise agreement. Obviously, it's not finalized, they're loading test fields into the system.

Yep.

At 5:38 he said he can Pre-Order C8 2020 brochures.

Wouldn't an Official Chevy Brochure have the Engine availability, Horsepower numbers, TQ, and Drivetrain?

No, "pre-order" means they won't be printed until intro and final decisions. It's just like all the folks who have "pre-ordered" the ME, having no idea what it looks like, what the specs are, or what it will cost.

My point is that Chevy most likely has finalized everything in regards to engines, drivetrain, HP numbers. etc...

Time will tell, but it seems like things are accelerating

Nope. The GT500 has been officially unveiled, and it still doesn't have HP numbers. The first Jeep Gladiators are rolling off the assembly line, and Jeep still doesn't have pricing info. One can print up nice looking brochures without a whole lot of detail on the car. People largely don't use brochures anymore.

Assuming is is the basis of many cases on being wrong. In a court of law, ricks comment would not be considered “confirmation”. There’s a lot of space between what he said and what you think he said.

I have "pre-ordered" books by favorite authors on Amazon months before they were printed or digitized. A dealer pre-ordering catalogs is just saying send me X detailed ones X glossy ones etc.

GM might like to know what size print runs they are looking at when its ready to go.
