Yep, pretty much sucks. I hate for you to go through the shame and embarrassment of having to drive such a POS.
Tell you what...send it to me (I sold my C7 2 weeks ago) and I'll keep it exercised for you until you're ready to trade for a C8
And you don't even have to pay me...because that's the kind of guy I AM!!!

Wow thought we were all car and vette lovers here. Sort of that thing if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it. Everyone has opinions (yeah yeah could say just like ********) but I have several Vettes at my home '63 split, '64, '89 all of which drive and run perfectly, had a 2000 vert, '15 Z, and now '17Z. I think they are all beautiful in their own way. The looks, compliments, and the countless conversations at gas pumps every time I stop in my '17 seems to suggest otherwise :-). Nothing but love here!

So it makes perfect sense by GM logic to have the last one ever be something other than a ZR1.
If GM was smart they would make all future production of FE Vettes be ZR-1's; they will sell out quickly.

Thanks Jimmy your the man!!! That cyber grey vert looked sweet. I need to keep the crappy ZO6 for a year or so. I want 15% off of MSRP on my C8... just like i got on the Z in May of 16.... it was a left over can you believe that???? I think the twin turbo 800hp C8 will be worth the wait... this base model with only 550hp... kids stuff

I think the C8 will just add to the modern look of the C7. Just normal progression....

Yeah, C&D is never wrong about anything!

After the last C7 is sold in June, we will be waiting another 6 months at least for the first ME, right? BGA is just going to sit idle and lose millions of $$$.

Since we're shitting on Corvettes... there are only 2 that I wouldn't own:

1. A plastic bumper C3 of any kind; chrome bumpers and side pipes baby!

2. A base narrow-body C6; the Z06/GS fixes the C6 completely
Cant even be mad lol.

I got a base C6 operating under the impression if all I plan to do is modify, it will come out cheaper.

It did come out cheaper, but now I have to look at a narrow body C6. Regret.

^ That's easy to fix on the C6 as you don't have to change the rockers or rear bumper.

1 Front bumper
2. Fenders
2 Quarter Panels

Boom wide body.

Won’t they be building C8s?

They are tooling for the C8 right now.... It won't be idle. Take a tour late summer you will see.

C7 production ends June.

July - November they reconfigure and test build C8s

December - C8 retail production begins.

Doubtful. The reveal is NOT the start of production, normally. The common guess around here is production beginning in December.
The C7 reveal was January 2013, I think they started producing them in July 2013

After reading Mary Barra's statement on the auction of the black Z06, I believe (and hope) she was referring to it as the last Z06 C7 being sold. That would make perfect sense since the LT4 engines should all be installed in the ME. The last C7 made should clearly be the ZR1 which is vastly superior to the Z06 that is currently the subject of a major class-action lawsuit and a real embarrassment to Corvette and GM.

If the production C8 really looks as bad as the one Mary is posing with, I will withdraw my several comments that she is not stupid. The Aztek looks better.

Just because they're auctioning the car in June does not mean the car will be built in June. The car could be built and delivered in October or something.

Why Corvette is still building the C7 Z06 is a real mystery. All production capacity should be for the ZR1 and GS. The Z06 serves no purpose.

And whats funny is pictures don't even come close to doing the c7 (especially the wide bodies) justice. They look even better in person

Of course it won't be cheap at $62K plus dealer mark-ups of $5K, but it will look cheap and ugly while giving marginally better performance than a Z51. It will spend most of its time in some Chevy service shop with untrained techs trying to solve numerous problems. So owners who enjoy driving their Corvettes, especially with a manual trans and some usable cargo space, are going to be out of luck.

I assume Mary Barra also signed off on the re-styled 2019 Camaro that is now in 3rd place against its competition. Corvette will soon share the same fate.
