Automobile Liability Insurance:Property Damage
The premium on my 2014 C7 is $420.75 every 6 months so it's $70 a month... I guess my $60 was from when I had C5s.

Two other vehicles since getting married in 2012, before that I had a truck as a 2nd vehicle most of the time. These were all C5s and now a C7. I've never had state minimums... always full coverage with 100/300/100 limits.
Credit score is a huge factor in insurance underwriting. I used to be in the business. It's the highest correlated variable to likelihood of a loss. In other words, people with high credit scores are more responsible and end up being better drivers and don't get in accidents and thereby don't file claims.

People with high credit scores are "I love debt" scores, as well. If you didn't have debt, your credit score would go to zero, or N/A. I'm in the business too.
Since you're bundling $60.00 a month with numerous other factors, it's not a stand alone policy. That was my point. Nobody walks in and gets $60.00 a month, full coverage on a single new Corvette. ...esp. not when they insure it as a DD.

Garrett,
I insure my 06 Mercedes Benz CDI, on the same Nationwide Policy as my new 2017. I have not been given a final discount as per the ODO, 85 day testing period on both cars. I'm at list pricing. I'll have a breakdown after completing the survey time.
My Class C RV is with Nationwide PowerSport. Dirt cheap. $313.00/yr. Full coverage. Last I checked my credit score 803. I don't borrow money. Don't owe any. Home paid for years ago. I suppose I should borrow on a few things as most here seem to do. Lower rates for loving debt? I'm out, on that one. LOL!

Now I have a separate howowners policy I pay in full each year to get a decent named storm deductible as the large folks only do 5% in my area (no thanks). I still have my cars with one of the large carriers.

My C5 Z06 was my only car at 21... I paid $72 or $78 a month.... I can't recall. I bought a truck a year later and bundled them and bought a house a year after that and bundled it all. Not sure what else to tell you.

I don't drink and drive, nor take drugs, so, I'm out on that one too.

You don't seem to understand it doesn't matter what you personally think of credit scores, they are utilized regardless. I'm glad you apparently live in a state that doesn't use such metrics. Unfortunately, many do, which can easily double or triple your premiums.

Part of the appeal of the Corvette is its relatively limited production numbers. If they are a dime a dozen then no good! It's a car to dream about and aspire to own one day and not car to be afforded by most. I see many more Porsche 911's than Corvette's where I live in and I like it that way.

I think in 6 year GM has sold 150k or more C7 so hardly a limited production car.
I also say it the least limited 2 seat sports car sold anywhere in the world and surly nothing comes close in North America to Corvette annual production and sales.
It's a sports car for the masses always has been and always will be.
It soinds like you have a 458.
I do also that is limited production from 09 to 2015 total world wide sale were less than 10k units.
I love my 2016 Callaway SC 757 but the C7 Z07 is far from limited production.
One of the many reason I choose to purchase a Callaway was it's limited production and remains the most powerful C7 ever built C7 with factory warranty.
Plus I not all that crazy with the C7 ZR1 front facia.
Looks boy racer to me.

Sure there are areas where it is a low risk, but those areas have been hit as well.

I have to ask if you don't think this would be a win for GM if that was to happen? It also would be a win for the consumers. Are you trying to say that you would rather it be a car that few can acquire? I think some on this forum own their own businesses. Ask them how they would feel if they could get services into as many homes as possible. I somehow have a feeling that GM would love to produce a product that would become a common sight.
what if GM knocks it out of the park and gives us a beautiful c8 at a great price....and we start seeing them everywhere. What if they become a common sight? sure it may still be a great track car underneath, but unless you are at a track that doent matter at all. 10 to 12 year payment loans exist for cars such as these, so every tom, dick, and harry could "afford it" if they really wanted to. I just thought it a curious topic for discussion.

Unlike others with paid for homes, I elected 15 years ago to skip insuring mine. It's a terrible wager to pay for something that you will virtually never need in the ownership time span. Especially when net worth is calculated into the equation. As I stated; I'm in the business too, with Berkshire-Hathaway. The point that being I cannot bundle with my home, since I don't insure it.....

Even if Ford makes only 20 GT500's and Chevy builds 40 thousand C8's a year I'd still take the C8 all day long even on Sunday as the C8 Is in a different league now and ofcourse more exotic than any mustang and that's coming from a guy grew up loving Mustangs and still do so I'm not gonna diss the car but when it comes to the C8 I dont care how many will be on the road it's just a beautiful car all arround!
